I return to this area frequently as my children are at a nearby boarding school and after a time of trying various hotels, The Swan is now my only choice. Excellent service from everyone, great dinner and breakfast menu and v convenient for all that Wells has to see and do. The manager is friendly and very welcoming to everyone. Last visit, I stayed in one of the recently refurbished suites and it was a wonderful experience. Very luxurious! Over the winter months, I really enjoyed spending the evening sitting by the log fire with a glass of red wine. Highly recommend this hotel!
We booked the room for a Hot Fuzz experience in town and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort of our stay. No lift, so stairs could be an issue for impaired travelers, and the car park fills up quite early. We had a few delays with check in and then our dinner reservation, but were given exceptional service to make up for those slight issues. Perfect location for discovering the town.
We came to the swan for a well deserved break as we are working full on with a house project. Martin the GM was there and made us most welcome. The hotel is absolutely fantastic, we can't say anything against it. Top class service, very friendly staff, an all round lovey place fir a brake. Martin and his 50 staff are the best. We will be back.nMark and Michelle
Fantastic hotel. We had a beautiful room with a lounge area. Very comfortable. Staff were so helpful. Convenient location in the centre of Wells. Good food but several dessert items on menu were not available. Definitely go again.
We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant here and it was fantastic.nThe beef was perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables and roast potatoes.nMy wife's fish, chips and mushy peas were also spot on.nnThe service was friendly and efficient, and from what I saw of the bedrooms that friends were staying in, I'd imagine that it's a very nice place to stay too!
