Great experience for their Burns Night Supper. We were made to feel welcome and our waitress, Lucy, was very attentive without being overbearing. Great service from the whole team and Daniel was also great. Food was excellent and the whole evening was a worthy experience that I’d recommend to anyone. Bagpipes, poetry and song brought it all together. Will return for another evening in this charming pub/ restaurant.
Friendly, courteous and attentive staff. This pub is not at all understaffed -which is great to see. The manager welcomed us in for lunch even though the kitchen had already closed which was very nice of him. Thank you team and chefs! Stunning views, plenty of seating areas, both inside than out; the decor is delightful. some sits in the shade too around the back and under parasols. They have a few vegan options on the menu. I had the poke bowl; nothing amazing but a very healthy meal and quite a big portion. Apparently the Caesar salad can be made vegan and there is a vegan burgher too They make great chips! Friend had fish and chips, it was a big portion and they really enjoyed it. They also serve vegan coffee made with either almond or oat milk large carpark outside with some spaces in the shade around the side.
New management!! Wow what a place, decor is now so on point! Food served was City restaurant level. Very efficiently brought out without a huge wait. Dog friendly and treated hugely by the owner and staff alike!! We would love to be back asap!
Amazing and beautiful pub with great views of Box Hill. Clearly it's a local favourite for dinner and other family functions. Always busy but good service. Food was really good and drinks choices a plenty. They even had a good wine and cocktails menu. Easy and classy choice if in the area.
After reading reviews we were in doubt if it's worth visiting, but we really wanted to find a place with a nice views to sit, so we did. Atmosphere, deco and views are fab. We were served quite quickly, staff was polite and helpful. Can't say much about food as we tried only two dishes hence 4 stars only but they were really good. Would go back next time. Hope it won't get worse in time.
Lovely place to have a drink or have a meal. Fish is very tasty. Pear pizza has a sweet taste on a pizza. Worth a try. Chips are big and fluffy inside. Staff is really nice. South African lady that helped us made our dog feel very welcome. Brought water and star dog biscuits twice. Played with him too. Inside is spacious and well looked after. Toilets are very clean and look great. Sitting outside is a possibility and with a nice view. Certainly worth a visit.
Very impressed with the quality of the products. Extremely clean, nice toilets, outstanding garden views, dog friendly, delicious food and very reliable prices. Definitely would come back and recommend to everyone who looks after a nice lunch/dinner out with best customer service and guaranteed satisfaction.
Beautiful decor & atmosphere and lovely food. We did go when the last world cup England game was on so less staff than usual and there was Christmas parties in the pub which made things busier for the staff that was working but still had a lovely experience with good service. I would say it's a bit pricey for food but drinks are actually cheaper than we expected so it all evens out. Lovely place and will definitely visit again!
A warm welcome. We were shown to our table, given menus and then left to it. We waited a while before they came back and asked us what we would like for drinks. We nearly gave up and went to the bar at 1 point. Once we got our drinks we had to wait again for someone to come and take our order. We were waiting for 1 more person to turn up who was very late. I thought the service could of been better, there was loads of staff on the floor. Food was amazing. Credits to the chef's of the kitchen. Cocktails were great. The service needs to be worked on alot.
Fabulous food in a beautiful pub, with really lovely and friendly staff. We were in the outside garden area which is stunningly decorated. Check out the rope lamp shades!
