The Watermill is our last stop when leaving the Lake District for home, just off the main road from Windermere to Kendal. Parking can sometimes be tricky, but a warm welcome awaits inside. The Inn is split into two lounges, one dog-friendly, and one dog-less. Both serve drinks and food. I've always found the food to be good, with a nice selection of pub fare. Great for refueling after a day on the fells, or a simple meal with friends. The Watermill brews most of its ales on site, and there is a good selection of flavours and strengths. Order three different third-of-a-pints to get a taste without over consuming. All available in bottled form to enjoy when away from the District too. In summary, cracking pub, great for dog owners (and non dog owners) who like good beer and food.

A wonderful place that is welcoming to both two footed and four footed friends. The Watermill has its own brewery and has its beers bottled to buy and on tap. The menu is varied and the food is wholesome and satisfying. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Cool place. Great beer and bar staff! They don't usually offer cocktails but we asked for one anyway and the bar lady went out of her way to make us a custom one! 'Green Wobble'

Great find...lovely pub..real ales..good food..we had a burger(proper large meat burger) and other half had a steak cooked to perfection.. nicely presented..rooms lovely and clean..2 miles form windemere..very dog friendly..
