Booked a table for 5 randomly one evening. Staff accommodated us no problem, same night. Food was tasty, drinks were nice. Place has a comfortable vibe to it. Strikes the balance between local and efficient very well. Everybody was happy with their food. Sharing nachos on the menu, and they do a seriously tasty brownie ice cream, which is delightful, but not for those on a diet. I'd wager the calorific content of that sucker was well into the 700s!! Ample parking, good views, outdoor dining and we'll looked after. I'd go again!

We stayed here for three nights and were looked after by Steve and his amazing staff. A lovely room, warm even with the below zero temperature outside, great breakfast and a wonderful menu to pick from every night. Well placed for Kendall itself and the surrounding Lake District, it was an excellent base for our too-short visit. Highly recommended!

Lovely place, lovely views, lovely staff and lovely food. My boyfriend brought me here for one night stay for my birthday and I have absolutely loved it, the Gateway Inn is such a pretty place I loved our vintage looking room. I would highly recommend this place and we shall be back, thankyou for a lovely stay.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were so comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Will definitely visit again - make sure you book you won't be sorry.

We just had to stop here for dinner.. we stayed at the Gateway Inn a few years ago and had the loveliest stay. This time we were just passing through. To be honest, I wanted to come back and see if their chunky chips are still #1 in my book.. and I was not disappointed! Definitely recommend this place!
