We stayed here for Christmas lunch, party of ten from Leeds. Nothing was too much trouble, food gorgeous. Vivienne and Pete looked after us so well, they even had a present each for my 2 little one's, so thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed Christmas day at the Globe inn. Will definitely be back in the summer and I highly recommend for drinks, food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Came here for a dog-friendly venue to have an evening meal while staying in Kendal for 1 night. Decor is a bit tired but food was great value for money. Staff really friendly too.

Nice, proper pub right in the heart of Kendal. Very handy for the shops. No complaints about the food or beer. Dog friendly. I would go back. 

The website (Thwaites) doesn’t work on my iPhone - just takes you to a search screen that won’t let you enter anything to search by!

Very friendly owner behind the bar. He's a real airplane enthusiast so if you have any interest in vintage aircraft you can have a good conversation. Try the Lancaster Bomber ale!

Friendly staff, great table with a view of the square below. Food came pretty quick, tasty and good value for money.
