A Weatherspoons pub in the centre of Kendal just off the hight street. A huge place which looks like it used to be a mill or warehouse in the past. Upstairs is nice for eating, faily quite on a Sunday lunchtime mainly with families. We both had the vegetarian regular breakfast and were not disappointed; 2 fried eggs, 2 vegetarian sausages, 2 hash browns, 2 halves of a tomato, a small pot of beans, a slice of bread & butter. My only observation was that it was all just warm, I prefer my food to be hot. There was a beer festival on and my partner had one of the 5% £1.99 golden beers and said it was great. I had a hot drink but when I tried to get a hot chocolate struggled as all 3 machines were showing empty. A staff member came and filled up the milk and stirred the chocolate around in its compartment, apparently it doesn't fall through.nGreat value for money.
Stumbled across this spoons tonite I didn't even know there was one in kendal! Really good spoons very big inside even tho it doesn't look it from outside. Really nice beer garden out the back. Really couldn't fault it. Some good offers on aswel monday would definitely come back.
What a great Wetherspoons. Inside is cavernous with lots of areas downstairs and upstairs and a massive beer garden on the veranda out back. Use the app to order food and drinks direct to your table. Great selection of real ales and fancy beers plus the usual food selection.
Great value for money! Been here a few times now for breakfast. Was nice to see the beans are now in a little pot so they don't go cold on the plate! Bacon is very tasty too. Staff were great and our food arrived very quickly. Will be back on our next visit to Kendal!
We have a drink after work and the service was really poor. Not friendly pretty hostile towards us. I’m 43 years old and got id ? I do look over 25 years old trust me . The colleagues I was with are younger but all over 25 years . There were families with children eating and drinking with out getting asked to provide identification. Just a bit of common sense and understanding that we were over the age of 18 was needed. The surpriser was not helpful and was very disrespectful. It was pretty shocking management and people skills.
