Excellent Srilankan food Recommended by a colleague and this place did full justice The food was fresh, hospitality was excellent. Friendly staff. Favourite was the Mango King Prawn. Definitely worth the try. Full of flavours. Chicken 65 is very nice. Watch me Biryani had good taste. Lamb Rogan was lovely Ended up with a special sweet called Vattalappam. Definitely coming back to try more
Unbelievable find. We asked the waiters to help us as we only wanted traditional Sri Lanken food. It was all delicious and fresh. We'll be back! Forgot to get food before we devoured most of it. 5*
Overpriced, small quantity and not worth it. 2 egg rolls £1.00... 2 mutton rolls £1.80.... But wow the oil is cholesterol frightening!!!!!!!!! Mutton biriyani is £5.95.... And if u ask for spicy all they do is add green chillies as opposed to making the 'gravy' 'flavour' of the biriyani spicier..... Not really authentic because other wise the flavour and curry added to the rice would be spicy. There's nothing special about this place at all, the interior of the place is outdated and smells. It's a small establishment, the staff are not very attentive and the drinks/liquor menu is overpriced. They have a different menu if ordering online as opposed to visiting which is quite a difference as there is a minimum £20 to order if ordering from their website. The place can get rowdy with young youth or large groups. It's not a very welcoming environment. But the food is cheap and of ok standards. There is no health and safety or hygiene certificates posted so can not say how clean this place is.
If I could give zero stars I would. We were overcharged by the waitress for drinks and food. We had to phone them up 5 or 6 times but they ignored our claim and the owner never returned our calls even though they had said he will. After a few calls I said we would take them to a small claim court and then the so called “manager” agreed to pay but he only paid back £3.10. However they owed us at least £30 for food and drink. Had to chase them up for almost a week. During that time, they had changed the prices to the menu. Make sure to check the menu price here, your receipt and the food was below average. They should also learn to check their seats. The seat I sat on was broken and whilst tucking my chair in my finger got trapped and started to bleed heavily. The waitress serving us FOOD was picking her nose. Even to think of that is disgusting. She has no food hygiene. When I told the manager he said she was new but that is no excuse for picking your nose.
Very expensive food bill, one coke can £4.50 which is unbelievable. I would advise people to check the price before place an order, starter came after 1 hour. I only liked the Veechu rotti but I asked them to take away left over food but didn't gave my whole food as well. I found a hair on one of the dish, over charged all of our order....please avoid this place.
Food is so good so authentic and so do the service. The Sri Lankan soft drink did not quite match our favour, but the staff let us to try a bit first ordering
Fantastic food and service at a reasonable price. All the Indian classics plus South Indian & Sri Lankan specialities. Enjoyed a deliciously spicy meat masala dosa and tried string hoppers with egg for the first time. Drinks very reasonably priced too.
Dropped in for dinner after many many years. Told parking at pub but not free!! Devilled mutton, giga hot and I thought I could eat chilli hot food, this was way way hot. Eggs hoppers good value as was the dosa. Orderd rotti but we had our way through everything else ordered but rotti was yet to make an appearance. Fried chicken was good Mutton curry was OK. Would be useful if staff could speak and understand English.
Beautiful setting with friendly and caring staff. The food was very delicious. The food came on time. Good place to have dinner with friends and family.
Absolute dissapointment. The food was average and the evening would of passed as acceptable but then the bill arrived ! Our jug of mango lassi was £25 not listed on the menu. When we asked if this was correct an onslaught of abuse and threatening behaviour began. Challenged several times on this extortionate pricing the owner failed to deliver on any other place which sold it for anywhere near £25. I wish them all the best, to aide the management I've attached pictures of a very good lassi and menu it's £9. If you are gifted with common sense and good taste, avoid. I welcome a response from the owner on my traumatic experience.
