It's a small temple and restaurant in the heart of Central London. It's a beautiful temple of Krishna and Jaganath Prabhu. The temple is open from morning 5 am till 9 PM so you can visit at any time. At the ground floor there is also a small vegetarian restaurant where sumptuous food will be served. I visited the restaurant a couple of times and the food tasted good. It's worth visiting. If you are driving there is no place for the parking so please plan your parking accordingly. The easiest way to travel is by tube and the nearest tube station is Tottenham Court Road. It's just a min walk from the Station.
The temple is very centrally located and is lovely to visit when you’re in the area. Unfortunately the idols were closed off so we didn’t get a chance to see Krishna idols, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. There’s free annadhanam every lunchtime which is very generous and the people were friendly. It’s amazing to see an ISKCON temple outside India in Central London! There’s also a very nice restaurant next to the temple which we didn’t get to visit but was very popular at lunchtime. Would recommend visiting during opening hours.
The temple is a great place to go. The staff are very kind and helpful. The volunteers inside the temple are also very polite and nice. The attached Govinda restaurant gives tasty, sattvik food see my review after my last visit. In the footpath outside the temple, there was a lady volunteer offering copies of Bhagavad Gita. We took a copy and made a small donation. But, after that, when we turned left on to Oxford Street, we had a completely different, disappointing experience: a young girl vey politely asked me how I was doing today and engaged me in conversation. Then she produced a small booklet - apparently the latest publication, with AI generated images etc. - all very good so far. She asked me to take a copy - I thanked her offer but declined, saying we had already taken a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, and that I was happy with that. But she was very persuasive, she wouldn't let me go till I accepted the small 70 something page booklet. Then came the surprise. As I reluctantly accepted the book and was about to move off, she insisted that I should make a donation. I informed her that I had already made a donation - but she insisted I make another - I found this a bit disturbing. Anyway, when I decided I might as well make another donation - after all, this was for a noble cause - she suggested I donate 108 pounds. At this point, all my devotion to Iskcon vanished - this was not a request, this was tanatmont to extortion. I am deeply aggrieved by such behaviour in the name of Lord Krishna. He certainly would not approve of such heavy-arm tactics. I got away - there is no better way to describe my exit from the clutches of this woman - after donating 5 pounds - totally drained of any spiritual or Godly thoughts. I wonder if such forcible soliciting of donations is sanctioned by the temple authorites? So if you visit the temple, beware of these so-called volunteers who denigrate the holy organisation they work for. Their behaviour is against the very essence of Krishna Consciousness.
Very Peaceful place to discover who we are and what is our position in this universe. Also discover what is our relationship with our creator. Love to visit this most merciful place in London. Yummy free vegetarian love feast offered on SundaysVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Finally visited my Krishna at Iskcon temple.. as always..amazing vibes.. Must visit and recommended too!.. Also had amazing food and prasad
From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and comfort, as if I were returning to a beloved place. I was mesmerised as I watched the devotees come together in joyous worship with Krishna. There was an energy in the air a sense of pure, unfiltered devotion that swept through the room like a gentle, comforting breeze. This was way more than just a visit to a sacred place. I experienced a very heartfelt and unforgettable welcome. Hare Krishna
