As with any Vue Cinema, they've converted them all to fully recliner seats, so it's a much more enjoyable experience. Concessions are incredibly expensive, but that's par for the course. The staff are helpful, but it takes a while to be served as you have to go to the concessions stand because there's no dedicated ticket agent anymore. We had a problem with the ticket machine selling us the wrong ticket disabled section that took a while to rectify. Other than that, it's about right.
Well presented foyer, bright and colourful provides a good first impression for an evening out at the movies. It was easy to purchase tickets and snacks with no stress or long periods of waiting. The clean toilets were close to the security check position and the screen. Comfortable seats made the experience a pleasure. The only downside was the longer than expected walk from the disabled parking bays
Watched avatar 2 last night in screen 15, the 3d effects were brilliant and despite being over 3 hours long it was constantly interesting. The reclining seats were extremely comfortable and a really pleasant place to sit for a few hours. The member of staff who checked our online tickets was very cheerful and helpful.
Haven't been to the cinema in ages we booked on line and went straight to the correct screen. After finding our exceptionally comfy seats we settled back and were able to put our feet up in the deluxe seating that was for everyone at night extra cost. A very very good evening and experience oh and the film wasn't bad either will be going more often.
It says on the website that it opens at 10am but actually it opens 15 minutes before the first film, so we were stood outside for ages. When I commented that we will go back to Sheffield and watch it instead, no apology nothing. When Vue do finally go into administration we will all see you at The Light, which is professionally run, spacious and just generally lovely
I'm not a huge fan of cinemas, so bear with me .... It's OK... tickets seem expensive overall, and I didn't like the new electronic TV screen check-in. Long queues for very, very overpriced sweets & fizzy pop - only 2 serving points available. Toilets were in poor state what's wrong with people & why aren't they cleaned more frequently? On a plus note, the reclining seats were comfortable. There was an issue with the sound system when I visited, though it wasn't clear if it was the venue or film distributors that were at fault.
Recently watched Avatar 2 3D here in the IMAX screen. A great cinematic experience. Premium seating was not as pictured online and the large escalator was switched off meaning a long climb up 2/3 floor of steps. Otherwise a great experience! Staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly.
The reclining seats are really great except mine was covered in pop corn when I arrived. Pretty gross. The screen obviously hadn't been cleaned since the previous viewing
Love going here but last Tuesday as we go to the 5.30pm viewing there was not many there and I am sorry to say it was freezing. A member of staff we mentioned this to explained we could have come out and asked for the heating to be raised but you miss part of the film then. Perhaps one staff should come in during the performance and check the temperature. I will be going again next week but with a blanket.
The chairs are super comfy recliner and headrest. It is more pricier the Cineworld and the popcorn not as flavourful as it used to be but this is common now in most cinemas. I would say it can be poorly lit in some areas around the doors into each theatre and is difficult for the visually impaired.
