Excellent service from Simon and the team at Volvo and although not the cheapest, you get quality parts fitted, professional workmanship, a full scale health check, warranty for the work carried out and staff that go the extra mile to assist. Id broken down due to a split pipe, and I didn’t have warranty or cover with them, nor did I purchase my car from them, but they took my recovery from the RAC straight away. Very helpful and a huge help, and much appreciated. After the work was done, Id forgotten to bring my phone to transfer funds so I could pay my bill and get my car out as I’d lost my bank card, which was embarrassing, so they drove me home in a brand new Volvo waited for me and took me back to the shop to process the payment instead of making me order and wait for a taxi. It’s the sort of service worth paying a bit extra for, especially with the peace of mind that other garages don’t seem to be able offer. I know my car is fixed properly. Thanks very much for your excellent service.
First visit with nearly new Volvo. Workshop took thier time to diagnose the issue properly. Didn't feel rushed. Smooth visit from start to finish.
Dropped in unnannounced to get a feel of an XC60. Rob S was really accomodating and we ended up buying one the Monday after from him. Really freindly and knowledgable with no pressure to buy anything.
Peter and I were professionally helped on our journey to finding a replacement for our XC60 by Jack who couldn't have been more helpful despite only being able to use one hand because of an unfortunate accident. We choose an xc40, which is smaller but we're sure will fit into our life style .
I had to write this review to make sure no one else suffers like this. We travelled approx 176 miles, 3 hour journey to get there only to find the car was full of faults. We had travelled the distance thinking that Volvo will only sell good quality second-hand Volvo cars that have not been in an accident etc and the car is in pristine condition for the age of the vehicle. Prior to going there we saw the video of the car, had a chat and even paid a deposit to reserve the car. Within minutes of looking at the car from outside I had noticed slight colour variation on the front wing and other places and close inspection at the sill revealed a very poor accident repair job with metal still showing. This will corrode in no time and the paintwork had lots of chips, not what you expect from Volvo main garage. Needless to say, I did not even take it for a test drive and were out within 15 minutes with the deposit refunded. The sales-rep Mark Bramwell is hopeless and could not comment other than they do the standard checks which makes me wonder what do they actually look at!!. Buyers please be aware that this place will try and sell you rubbish cars, they are only interested in your money and not at giving you a decent car. Think twice before going there and take someone who knows about cars. Very unhappy customer. I have included photos of the car in question and its still on sale, feel sorry anyone buying this wreck. I totally disagree with the response provided by Taunton Volvo. We traveled with the view of taking the car away on the day. The only reason why that could not happen is because they cannot check money transferred on Saturday. The car was fully prepared and serviced ready for taking away. Don't be fooled by the response. They did not even offer to reimburse the fuel money and the time I wasted. If they had a decent car in the first place we would not be having this conversation.
Dan has been excellent, he made the whole process so easy. I wound definitely recommend him and MG Howards.
So booked to get a flat tire sorted. Needed a new tire but had no stock? Where is logic these days?
We bought an XC40 from Taunton Volvo 2 years ago. When the crankshaft and thrust bearing went A known issue apparently on the M1 near Sheffield recently the nearest dealership said it needed a new engine. Luckily there were two weeks left on the warranty. Volvo told us they didn't want to replace the whole engine and would only cover the engine being stripped down and replacement parts being fitted these have been modified as the original parts have been found to be susceptible to failure! They also said the works would not be guaranteed except under the original warranty which had a week to run Very reassuring. "When I asked about extending the warranty see Volvos Website Extended Warranty Options Volvo can offer the option to extend the period and mileage limit of the standard 3 year/60,000 mile warranty. This enables customers, who intend keeping their Volvo beyond the manufacturer warranty period, to enjoy a similar level of protection for an extended period" I was told this isn't actually a Volvo warranty but a third party warranty and probably wouldn't cover the works carried out by Volvo on the engine! Volvo Taunto didn't offer any help, guarantee of work apart from Volvo goodwill. I had called Volvo UK who took my details but never got back to me!! As the car was bought on PCP I would have to pay £6,500 to Volvo to return it or have a car with a potential fault and no guarantee. I can only recommend you steer well clear off Volvos in general and especially this dealership.
Been using the garage for 7 years and this week picked up my new car. Jeffrey and Mark were both excellent in meking sure we were looked after and drove away very happy. A true lesson in what buying a car should be like!
Excellent customer service from Harry Izatt and I am really enjoying my new Volvo.
