This is an average vegetarian restaurant where the menu has the usual selection items and nothing special, the prices were reasonable. The chilli paneer was dry and lacked flavour, the mogo was good and the dosa was good. The service was quick, would come back to eat if I was shopping in this area.
Fully vegetarian restaurant on green street. Average food and decent prices; food isn’t bad but it’s nothing special either. Quick service and indoor seating. Would eat here again for a quick bite when shopping.
This place is modest looking with your basic chair and table line up. Always a queue every time I come, this must be a good sign. Food we ordered was chillie mogo chips, dosa with sambhar and the chole bhatura. It was a delicious meal the food had a lot of flavour. And to end masala tea which is overwhelming spicy I think a few too many black peppers, we just added some sugar and it was fine. Cutlery was clean and seating was clean. I have come previously and will continue to come.
This place is an oldie but a goldie with delicious food. The menu is vegetarian and I believe alcohol free. We ordered pav bhaji, aloo papdi chaat and passionfruit juice. It was all delicious and a little on the spicy side
Would love to give a big fat ZERO rating but can't go less than 1 star. I'm surprised how the place is rated do high. The food had literally no taste and the masala chai tasted so strong on cinnamon and nothing else. Waste of time and money going there. Would definitely not recommend.
The food here is really tasty. We had cheesy dabeli special of the day, aloo papdi chat, aloo tikki chat, crispy bhajia, spicy mogo, mango lassi, salted lassi and fresh lime juice. Great customer service as well!
We tried chana bhatura for the first time and it was lovely. The chae was okay, masala chae had too much ginger in it. The service was quick and the staff are polite. It was a bit cold in the restaurant
Every so often I eat here or order for delivery. Delicious, authentic Gujarati food which plenty of dishes that can be veganised. The channa masala is amazing. I agree with some reviews stating that the spice level is low, but I'm not sure this is a fair criticism I believe food from this region is generally less spicy. I often order the deluxe thali pictured is less than half of what comes - they veganise it by replacing the gulab jamun with jalebi, and raita with dhokla. I strongly recommend this place. Vegetarian options: It's a fully vegetarian restaurant. I believe all dishes are eggless too, but they used to have normal mayonnaise on the side for customers not sure of they still do. Dietary restrictions: Dishes will have a mark next to them if they can be veganised - and plenty can be.
Was brought here by a work colleague. I had the deluxe Thali I think it was called and the serving was generous enough to share amongst 2 but I had it all to myself. The food was fresh, tasty, decently priced and just a lovely experience. I think lots of locals visit, it’s very family friendly and can get very busy! We had to wait about 10 mins for a table as we did not book beforehand I am not sure if it’s walk-ins only or you can book. Food wise, highly recommend for vegetarians/veggie lovers alike!
Anyone that calls this place average or not good, lacking spice are clearly out of their mind. My family and I have been coming here for over 30yrs! And this is the only vegetarian restaurant I would go to because the food is so damn good. I can't say which food is more nice because everything is amazing. So please don't listen to the negative comments just go try it out for yourself. And on another note if anyone knows the recipe for the Shola please send this to me because their shola are the best I have ever had ever! Xx
