Went to this place to remind old Mobeen restaurant which was located in green street. Thought the food and atmosphere would be the same but upon first impression restaurant is very small maybe 3/4 dinning table are around. Ordered double kebab roll and meat samosa total cost was £4. I remember in old Mobeen the kebab were made freshly but not today boy behind the counter just microwave the entire food which was luke warm and also not had same taste as it use To be. Samosa was good size with full meat filling but it be great if it was a bit warm. Overall food is good value for money but I think they if owner and managers go back basic old way would be much pleasant for old green street customers.
The best kebab rolls ever all freshly made also all the curry's are delicious too, keep it up guys 5* ratings all roundFood: 5/5
Excellent food and great prices, been coming here for 20 or so years, the interior of the place could do with an overhaul, it looks like the original decor. Kebabs and Naan bread etc is made directly in front of you and it's pretty quick service. Parking is only on the side streets.
Service was good like old traditional Pakistani restaurants but Masala in their curries are so heavy not prefer at all for daytime because I tried others places in area they are still ok but this place always busy making fortune and they do take cards payment too.Food: 3/5
The owner and the other guy I believe to be his son, likes to overcharge you. Do check your change and receipts before leaving.
Wonderful food - can’t recommend the pakora highly enough. We also had kebab rolls, lamb curry, chicken curry and Chana Dahl. All first class dishes served with obvious pride and justifiably so! Really good value for money and truly delightful people. Will travel 40 minutes in from Essex again just to get this food.
Have eaten in some of the most exclusive resturants over my years... but Mobeens is one of the last true Pakistani resturants left out there. Not your average Indian so many people confuse the foods its like comparing a chinesse to a Thai! Well worth a visit even though the shop looks old : as the food is well worth it also can't beat the value
We ate chicken biriyani and jilebi. Nice food. They have wide range of meat and rice items. Good spot to try new foods. Parking: There is no seperate parking space. Need to park on roadside
This may well be the last Mobeen restaurant left, and it remains in a class of its own. With the Green Street and Ilford restaurants permanently closed, this is the choice for any remaining fans of Mobeen food. While the decor is still old style, this restaurant provides a great selection of dishes. The kebab rolls and curries are great, as are the samosa’s and pakoras. Mobeen make some of the best keema samosas and I hope they stay in business to continue offering these delectable treats. Fantastic overall and highly recommended.
Mobeen is an institution of Pakistani cuisine. Quality, freshness and very reasonably priced is what makes this place stand out from the others. As for the outdated decor thats what makes it so special. Eat in and its like eating in the comfort of your own home. Highly recommended!
