I booked a table for mother's Day for 7 of us plus our dog. After an initial confusion over our booking, we were shown to our table which was very nice. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for making our afternoon. We'll be back.Service: 5/5
Had Sunday dinner at the victory, and I have to say the food was amazing. Very well presented and cooked to perfection. That beef! Melt in the mouth! Friendly staff, warm and welcoming. Give this place a go.
If I could give more stars I would. Couldn't recommend this place enough, beautiful view from our room on a little balcony, lovely and spacious, nice double bed and a sofa bed that opens as a double, 2tvs, nice bathroom with bath and nice big rainfall shower and a smaller normal shower attached, unfortunately didnt get pictures of the room. The staff are all so kind, genuine and make their guests feel so warm and welcome like a big little family. The food they serve is absolutely devine and kids meals are very generous. Very interactive with children, My boy loves strawberry milk and Peter went out his way to buy some nesquik and also make up chocolate milk with cream and marshmallows for our two boys. They made our stay so special, warm, welcoming and couldn't thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness for the 3 nights we had to stay. Definitely be returning
Only came for food, did not stay over. Rugby was on the large TV in the restaurant area when we arrived, and initially the volume was very loud - but immediately lowered after my request & the server even came back to check the level was now OK. Food was very nice indeed, but on the pricey side IMO. Service was fast enough & reasonably attentive.
Overpriced and overrated. We visited on the 4th of April and waited over an hour for our food and then our mains arrived before our starters. £17 for ham and eggs and £17 for a plate of chips and small plant burger!!!!!
Weren’t really sure what to expect from the reviews but pleased to say it was lovely. We arrived just after 5:30 without even booking and it was quite busy and smelled amazing. The lady behind the bar was amazing and let us know we would be the last to order very fortunate!! The meals were a tad pricier than mainstream restaurants but the portions were pretty big and the food was delicious so not too bad value for money. A lovely meal in a lovely place
Booked to stay here on the basis of good location, nice staff & big food portions, all of which are true. We stayed with our dog in a garden room, which was small but the shower was brilliant. However the garden rooms are in the children's play area of the beer garden & so there is no privacy here. These rooms also do not have wi-fi access & the pub closed without calling last orders at 9pm. The garden rooms are also situated next to the bins, so if you have your windows open, you're woken by the glass bin being collected at 5.10am. which we could have been warned about. All in all, a disappointing over-priced room.
Not to busy pub. Big garden area loads of tables with some with umbrellas. Had the fish and chips to keep It simple and couple of Amstel. Food was good beer was good and nice and chilled. Couldn’t work out the parking though so had to park on the side road.
Not a positive experience at all, inexperienced staff, naive to the point of laughable, when a blood orange gin and tonic is ordered and the response us "is that with lemonade"?. Then when delivered it contains slices lemon & lime, rather than orange ‍. In short, expensive, poor quality, poorly presented and some inedible. Thankfully not a frequent visitor
Nice little pub , sat outside on news years day having a pint and a bit of sea air . Biggest let down was the staff . As miserable as sin no interest, bery unhelpfull and was not busy , It wasn't just us we had friends who were 5 minutes behind us, We hadn't said anything they went in and ordered and came out saying exactly the same thing as us . One or.2 others at the table next to us came out and said " well their a happy bunch " to their party aswell
