Amazing meal! The service was great which is rare these days! Prices were also reasonable and the presentation of the food was very good. Great experience, definitely coming back in the future. Fantastic pubFood: 5/5
A fave to go to on a Sunday. Good food, service is top class, new conservatory looks awesome. Love the old building and roaring fires, shame we can't enjoy it with our 4 year old.Food: 5/5
I’ve been lucky enough to eat at some incredible restaurants through the years, some for a quick bite and others to tick off the bucket list. The Peldon Rose is in the big leagues for top quality food, service and surroundings. Thank you for your kind hospitality and incredible food. Everything you’re doing, keeping doing it! Thank you.
Not overly impressed with our meals, too much gravy on plate prefer gravy served separately coleslaw no taste , burger ok but nothing to get excited about. Service a bit slow until payment time then 2 waitresses couldn’t get to take it quick enough
We had an absolutely lovely lunch for my step fathers birthday, food and service were spot on. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
Peaceful, homely pub with wood burners and lovely staff. My fish and chips small plate was lovely and the homemade mushy peas just like my mum used to make. Hubby had a Camembert starter which was well presented and satisfying...we will be back, thank you.
Very nice meal, only complaint and this was from my MIL, they thought a lady in her 80s would drink water from a bottle. The young lady serving brought a glass when asked but maybe offering one should be the default for more mature guests.
I've visited the Peldon Rose many times over the years, and never been disappointed with the food. Today after a dog walk we went for a roast. Unfortunately it wasn't the best I've had, in fact probably the worst lately. It's higher priced than most local places, which I don't mind if it's good quality. The starter was lovely. We both said the starters were great. We asked how big the small plates were, and were told they were big. For £14.25 they were actually a child's portion. 2 anaemic potatoes, that looked boiled, not roasted. Little veg. Usually we dont have dessert, but as the food portions were smaller here, we were left hungry amd needed one. They certainly arent cheap at £7.10/ £8.50- I ordered a cheese board- my grapes should have been thrown in the bin, not put on a plate. 2 tiny pieces of cheese , 3 brown slices of apple and some soft celery sticks! My friend ordered the Eaton mess, though it resembled a sundea far more. £4.50 for a pint of lemonade and lime?! I was shocked they charged separately, and 70p for a splash of lime cordial?! We both agreed we wouldn't be revisiting for a Sunday Roast, and at that price for a soft drink, I'm not sure I will return again at all. Such a shame, as a lovely location and usually lovely food too. It's a beautiful, quaint little pub, in a lovely location, but the overpriced and small portioned food really let it down today.
Was great to get to this place. Outstanding from outside and so cosy on the inside. Unfortunately, we got there when the kitchen was closed, and I couldn't order the goat cheese baked with onion cutney that I was craving so badly. Maybe next time. However I was surprised they had a Staropramen beer, one of my favourite that it's not easy to find in London. Really enjoyed the visit.
We booked last minute and got a space. Food was nice but i ordered a small burger for over £10 and the burger was tiny! Very overpriced for what you get. We also found waitresses abit miserable
