A most well appointed establishment with a fine selection of cask conditioned ales - absolutely splendid
Great real ales pub with good selection of ales, ciders and perry. Deco need updating, but if you can see past the deco, its great little local pub. It is also on the good beer guide for Colchester. Lovely staffs and it's what you called Local pub with character.
Fabulous traditional old style proper real ale pub. Different beers every week and usually enough variety to suit all tastes. Good gin selection and Simon is an Iron Maiden fan. Plus the decorations of pump cards all over the walls means you can spend hours looking at all the different beers they've had on over the years.
Wonderful former Adnams pub.

Lovely local pub, always welcoming, well looked after beer with a frequently changing range. Dogs welcome and no sports.
