Ty Mawr Country Park

For a free place, and right on the Welsh border this is a fantastic place to walk around with various animals to see, the river to sit by and the grand arches of the park in all their glory. There is an alternative route that can be taken which goes along the river to be pontycyltte aqueduct if a longer walk is desired. There is a small zoo and shop and the site is well maintained for relying solely on donations. Well worth a visit with the family.

Nice park. Great facilities. Car park is open 24 hours. Football pitches and a kids play area near the entrance and then some less maintained (but maybe more beautiful) areas beyond, with rolling hills, woods and a view of the viaduct. Would recommend, but probably on a sunny day. Advertises itself as a place for kids parties too!

Had a picnic with the missus at Ty Mawr with a perfect blue sky and full sun on a Friday after work. Hardly anyone around. Stunning views. Perfect!

This place is amazing. A little gem on the outskirts of Wrexham. Nice little animal farm for the children and a lovely play area as well. When the weather is nice take a pic nic and sit by the river.

Brilliant day out for the family with walks along the river and animals to see and feed. The on site shop is excellent for a coffee or ice cream etc
