We were looking for a nice walk from Llangollen, and simply followed the signposts. It was an evening ascent with the odd drop of rain. This made the sky moody and the views interesting. On reaching the top the extent of the site was surprising. The views were great with real variety. Well worth the exertion.

Very impressive ruins given the location, with a decent amount of earth works and wall outline in place. Really nice walk up from the north side and plenty of space to picnic on the top if the weather is good. Quite a busy spot but plenty of space up there and great views of the valley both ways and the geology to the north. Worth a trip out if you have a few hours spare.

nice place to walk to and dont forget your picnic,all up hill so need to be reasonably fit.not for anyone with walking difficulties

A wonderful place with amazing views. Not suitable for disabled access as the climb is steep.
