Not clean at all in the kids bit.. where I had booked a table... the order was wrong. They told me there wasn't any nachos but brought the next table some. Minutes after.. very slow service. Overcharged on the bill.. no music or anything on in play area so was like a silent area.. the girl on the til was so lovely though.. she was helpful . She could do with venturing elsewhere.. on the other hand the main pub bit. Was clean.. the carvery looked nice.. Avoid the kids area simply. The food was really nice though
Absolutely dire, called in for a quick drink and thought we'd order some nachos. Big mistake! Place was really quiet. Really very small portion, £7.49 with what were supposed to be two chicken gougons came cold. We complained, they took the plate away, came back exactly the same. We questioned the salsa to be told that a couple of pieces of cut tomato was salsa!!! I could have done a better job myself. We have since given it a second chance and this time we tried chicken wings in BBQ sauce which were really lovely, sweet and tangy but very messy on the fingers , unfortunately no napkins supplied
We dined here last night and found the staff really friendly and helpful. The food was presented well and we enjoyed it, fairly priced. The staff went out of their way to make our daughter feel special on her 10th birthday. Only missing an extra star as we felt the place could do with updating and redecorating, plus the play area outside has seen better days.
Have visited a few times now and is very consistent. Food is always good and hot, nothing too fancy but certainly good for an easy meal out with family. We had mac n cheese and lasagne this time, both generous portions and nice side salad and garlic bread. Staff were lovely and wide selection of drinks. Fantastic play area for children aged 3 and up, you can eat your meal in there also. We have always previously been here just for dessert and they are really nice too. Lots of parking and everywhere easily accessible. Will definitely visit again.
Took my mum for a breakfast this morning and the customer service was brilliant, a lovely lady serving didn't catch her name unfortunately, she was so friendly, chatty and happy to help, a real credit to the team. The food was also wonderful, the lady told us the chef was new to the breakfast shift but it was cooked perfectly! And a good selection of continental foods too. Will definitely be going back again!
This was the best breakfast we've had for ages, everything was fresh, lots of choice. Only downside was that we didn't have the capacity to keep eating! Would definitely go back again. Staff really friendly, lovely relaxed atmosphere just what you need for first thing in the morning. Parking: Lots of parking available
Food was OK, pretty much what i expect from a Brewers Fayre. The service was amazing, we had a right laugh with the waiter, Spencer. Atmosphere was good too. Vegetarian options: Used to have a good vegetarian menu, but that's gone downhill. Barely anything on there now, unless you want fake chicken wrapped in fake bacon.
I come here semi-regularly for a glass of wine and the prices are very reasonable and the wine perfectly satisfactory. I've eaten her at least twice and the food is warm and delicious. It's clean, cosy, family and child friendly but not loud or raucous. The staff are always pleasant, friendly and professional and it's a nice quiet place to come for a drink and/or bite to eat.
Went for lunch with a friend today. Took an hour for any food to arrive, and then it was puddings first which we sent back!!! Main courses eventually arrived, but it didn't look great, as though it had been stood for a while, and by this stage we were utterly fed up. Other customers who had waited as long as us were either walking out or complaining about the wait. The restaurant wasn't full so don't get it. The lovely waitress was very apologetic and we felt sorry for her as she was struggling with her mobility as well. We asked for the manager but apparently it was just this lady and the barman on duty. We got a full refund but it wasn't the point. Wanted to enjoy a nice meal with my friend. I would like to understand how this is allowed to happen?
I received a free meal voucher via email and my kids were at a party in the play area so I thought it'd be the perfect 2 hour slot to chill out and have some food. Ordered at 4:10 left at 17:45 and hadn't received my food. Asked after an hour and was told 10 minutes. Asked again and was told 5 minutes. When I ordered the pub was empty, by the time I left there were several people complaining about wait times. I had ordered one meal, not a family or large group and thought a 2 hour time slot would be more than enough. Tables were full of glasses and weren't cleaned once in the area I was for my entire visit. It was genuinely the most shocking service I've experienced it wasn't even worth arguing I just cancelled my order and left. They didn't even offer my voucher back ! I'd never go here to pay again, if they give me my voucher and I've got a spare 24hours I might consider it.
