Story

This is a proper old city of London boozer, only in Chester, that has a really good reputation for its food - it’s a great meeting place over a pub lunch, and at different times you’ll find half the commercial and professional heart of the city in there. It’s a very social place with a lovely clubby atmosphere, and you’re pretty much bound to meet someone interesting.

It's great to be back...and love Harkers and the food was lovely, but have to say disappointed with the portion size of the £11.95 small fish and chips...half the small plate was taken up by peas, lemon and sauce and the fish was tiny...it felt like I was eating a child's meal!
Got a last minute booking even though it was still in tier 2 restrictions. Just as good as last year excellent food polite friendly staff. X
Perfect, staff were excellent, Table service no waiting, food very good try the Cod spot on. All in All worth a visit you will not be disappointed..covid Friendly.
Went here for pre dinner drinks and wasn't disappointed. Booking table for drinks was easy and social distancing was superbly handled. I will be coming again. Just one thing as you cannot go to the bar a list of beers or wines etc would of been a great help, especially for guest ales etc. Hey but still 5 stars and a new customer
Nice place and good location. Staff helpful and friendly. Drinks expensive compared to nearby pubs. Didn't eat so don't know how food compares. Will definitely go again.
