"At Trocadero we pride ourselves on being Dublin's theatre restaurant. We have attracted stars of the stage and screen for over sixty years and diners from Dublin and beyond are brought back to St. Andrew street time and again by excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere."

One of the best restaurants in Dublin! The food is consistently excellent and the service is always amazingly good especially in comparison with many other places in the area. I have been eating in the Trocadero for over 30 years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Highly recommended to book as they are so good.Food: 5/5
Nice restaurant for special occasions. Pleasant traditional atmosphere, displaying all the prominent people who were there. Excellent food creatively presented. Service a bit confusing and unorganised. Not cheap but worth it…if the service improves.Food: 5/5
I've had center cut fillet steak in a lot of places but this was the best by far! Perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth. My wife had a spicy coconut pasta and that was also amazing. We finished off with a rhubarb and custard Eton mess which was divine!! Highly recommended. The wait staff were really nice and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.
Lovely food and friendly service, with engaging conversation. After the meal there was a swap book of my oddball poetic stuff for one of their books of theatrical observations, where I imagine they pretty much figured they got the better deal. But they were very kind and even advised me on the next stage of my wanders as I was due to leave Dublin the next day.
We went for the Chateaubriand, and it was amazing. The service guy, such a pity, I forgot his name, was very professional and the best waiter we've had in a long time. Good wine options and very nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5
What a place! To start, the food is absolutely impeccable. The service was fast yet personable. I had the confit duck leg and it’s the best one I’ve ever eaten! And I’m half french. The decor is beautiful, a real roaring twenties throwback restaurant. I cannot put into words how friendly the staff are. Unfortunately I didn’t get any names, but they made us feel so welcome, and were so chatty with us. We told one server we were on our honeymoon and he went out of his way to come back with ‘something Irish’ to take home with us. We’ve left feeling so happy, and with a belly full of great food. Thank you so much to the staff, we really had an unforgettable time in here. You are a credit to this restaurant and the chef!. We can’t wait to visit again when we come back to Dublin!
Starter and service very good. However mains were very disappointing. Fish was extremely dry and steak was not cooked correctly and over seasoned. We got espresso martinis after our dinner and these were awful it tasted like filter coffee with vodka. We had booked this restaurant for a birthday dinner the following week but cancelled due to this experience. Overpriced for what it is.
Delightful restaurant with atmosphere seeping through the walls. Seating very comfortable & tables well spaced. Waiting staff very well trained. Sadly I chose duck but alas my bird was a mite skinny. Friends had glazed salmon which looked &, I gather, tasted as salmon should in Ireland excellent. As usual I will return.Food: 4/5
What a lovely place to dine. Staff are friendly and the food is excellent. I had scallops to start and rib-eye for mains and both were excellent. Sides of creamed spinach and garlic potatoes were also great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Overall we both had a wonderful experience. We are talking about when we can come back for dinner again.
The service was fantastic and the ambience was brilliant. It's a really lovely restaurant. The only complaint I have is about the vegetarian pasta, which didn't really work. The sauce was too liquid, and chickpeas with pasta is a stodgy combination. The meat and fish eaters at my party were all delighted with their meals, but the chefs could definitely do some work on the veg options. Vegetarian options: Limited!
