First of all I would like to say I have yet to ever complain about a meal before in a restaurant as I don’t like to cause hassle. Today I went to Powerscort, Mcgills Pub for the first time post quarantine to get my usual meal. As a regular I have grown to expect high standards from this establishment. The food was up to the usual high standards but the portion size was simply inadequate. For the same price as before the size of the bowl of chicken wings was far smaller and the fish fillet was also about half the size. I know we are going through tough times due to COVID-19 but having loyal customers travel down excited to have a nice meal and instead given halve the usual portion size is simply unacceptable from a highly reputable pub/restaurant. As well as this I understand we are going through a tough time for restaurants but the service was very slow and took about 40 minutes for our meal to come, after asking the manager politely if it was nearly ready. It was very disappointing, I just wanted to point this out for future references.
Cute little restaurant, very friendly service and fresh, tasty food.
Went there on a very busy Saturday and the food was excellent, service was friendly and desserts were ridiculously good.
Even on a busy Saturday in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Temple Bar, this cute restaurant with great service. Family mood and for us a kl. recreation island
