Honestly I walked in because of great reviews thinking it would be a mice Italian pizza but the closest jt gets to is typical pizza hut kind of pizza. The Mediterranean promised cherry tomatoes but its had just chopped up tomatoes , the crust was thick . Maybe why people like this place is because they throw in a lot of value in terms of money. But taste wise - na I would not recommend it
Quite affordable prices. I had the tortellini with tomato sauce. The sauce was flavourful, but unfortunately the pasta itself was pretty bad. Wasn't cooked very well, and tasted like it was old. Overall, not great.Food: 2/5
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at Il Capo, a traditional Italian restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my meal was the pasta dish I ordered, accompanied by chicken and a rich and creamy sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked to al dente, and the combination of flavors was simply divine. Each bite was a tantalizing blend of savory and earthy notes that left me craving for more. What impressed me further was the affordability of the restaurant. Despite offering high-quality and authentic Italian cuisine, Il Capo manages to keep its prices reasonable. It's a refreshing change to find a restaurant that doesn't compromise on taste while being mindful of the customer's budget in the heart of the city. If you're looking for a true taste of Italy without breaking the bank, I highly recommend paying a visit to Il Capo. The combination of delicious food, affordable prices, and impeccable service make it a standout option for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings. Overall, my experience at Il Capo left me thoroughly satisfied. It's a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its commitment to delivering a memorable dining experience.
The location of this restaurant is in a very shady corner but yes it easily accessible from collony station. I tried their penne fungii in cream sauce oh my god so good. I took a take away and you can see it covers the entire plate a very good deal for 8.5 . The food is good . I would recommend to get takeaways at this place.Food: 5/5
First off, I will say that the pepperoni pizza I had was quite tasty with a crispy crust. And €9 for a 9" pizza is a great price. Having said that, it is beyond me how this place has 4.5 stars on Google or how others had a "delightful" experience. Maybe this should be simply a take away place. There were exactly 7 stools scattered between either side and the counter on which to eat was maybe 12" deep, just big enough to hold the personal sized pizzas we ordered. There were food scraps scattered on the floor...pizza crusts, fries. One of the staff cleared away a tray after another patron just left it there...and the staff member ate food off the tray!!!!! And while the staff was nice enough, they definitely enjoy their music LOUD. Lastly, I know the restaurant has no control outside their walls, but this definitely felt like a sketchy part of town. We were just two weary travelers looking for some good pizza on our first night in Dublin and selected this place based on the 4.5 Google stars. After staying a second night, most of the city centre felt sketchy as well.
Woooowwww Il Capo is an amazing place to eat in Dublin… I mean it is not the best pizza of the world do not expect that but the relation price-quality is 11 out of 10!!! I promise that you will not regret of choosing this place. The “star” of this place is the 8€ menu which includes a 9’’ pizza very good size and you can choose 3 ingredients for it, fries or chips, as you might call them and a soft drink soda. Once again, all this for 8€, IN DUBLIN!!!!
This is the best price and this is the best food in Dublin very cheap food. The best restaurant in Dublin. Thanks so much Food: 5/5
Ordered online direct from the restaurants website. After 1 hour we called for an update as there was no sign of the food! We were told it would be on the way! After another 30 minutes we called again to try to cancel the order but to be told it was leaving with their driver now. The food was completely cold. There is no option for help on their website and they were not very helpful on the phone. I’ve hard the food in the restaurant which was nice however I will never order for take away again, and likely will not return due to the poor customer service
I had bbq pizza and pasta... Good taste... Good service...Food: 5/5
Very good pasta, pizza looked great too. Great value for the price.
