I’m not someone that needs regular use of the surgery, it trying to get through its like winning the lottery. I called 6 months ago whilst having a mental health crisis told nothing they could do and gave me a number for the local crisis team that just rang out at anytime of the day. I currently need a repeat prescription for non emergency health issue but told I need to see a DR before it can be issued. Can never get through it just cuts off. My previous practice in another part of the country was easy to get appointments in advance, face to face or on the phone whatever you required. They need more staff as they just can’t cope with the people on the books
I have been a patient here for nearly 10 years, I have in the past experienced issues. However, I have to say they have noticeably improved. The new doctors and junior doctors are absolutely fantastic, which in my opinion is the biggest improvement here. The team that organise and manage everything behind the main desk are also amazing. This is an area I had previously had issues, but no more, their support and professionalism is exceptional. The only reason I haven't made it 5 stars is I need to see this continue. But the entire Trent Meadows staff should be proud of the improvements they have made. As for the complaint of getting in touch or getting an appointment, yes I too have called over 200 times in 1 day to try and get an appointment, however look at the expansion of housing local to trent Meadows, its incredible they can cope at all, so we as patients have to give them credit, I've never not got an appointment eventually.
My mum wasn’t well and needed to have a test as I was sure she had an infection. I explained she wasn’t well enough to go to the surgery. The receptionist had no appointments but said she’d get practice nurse to ring, which she did. I dropped off sample and they sent it off straight away, explaining results might take 48 hours. Karen rang me back after 48 hrs to check on mums progress as results hadn’t been returned and she’d been off. Later that day results arrived and Dr Lewis rang to check on mum and prescribed antibiotics. I know getting through to the surgery can be difficult And service hasn’t always been great. But this week they went above and beyond to help - so thank you
This is my second occasion now of trying to get an appointment with a doctor that has led to complete failure. What a poor system you operate. The first occasion ended up in me having to go to A&E to get resolved for what should have been dealt with by GP going to A& E was the practice recommendation. This Occasion is just a simple re-instatement of repeat prescription as i am struggling following Doctors review advice to try coming off the tablets. Just give us a call back the Doc said if your struggling. Yeh right like its that easy. Would give no stars if i could. This is all directed at the practice Manager who is driving in this poor management. Shame as it never used to be like this.
Worst GP ever. Impossible to get appointment since September. Receptionists are rude, doctors not very smart google my illness - time to back to school then Someone needs to do something about it. Had car accident also suffering with mental health, and I cannot get sick note for my employer. SICK!!!
Useless. Made 270 calls to no avail. Sat on hold for over an hour, call was dropped. Sat on hold for another 40mins, no answer. Google even shows on their page, "less busy than usual" yet still can't answer the phone. Abysmal. Hoping a walk in centre will be better. Heck, at least they will hear me out! State of the NSH is a joke!
Echo the experience of most reviews here is very poor service, not answering phones, so I walk round and try to book an appointment over the counter to be told come back at 08:00 next day, ask do you have availability tomorrow ? Wouldn't answer just saying come back tomorrow, so I do and get an appointment that morning, why can't they just book you in when I first went day before!! I live in Branston just behind the surgery and have been at the surgery since it was built as has my daughter, she gets married and moves into a new Belway house 300 meters away to be told she has to leave the practice as not taking people from Belway, now has to go to Stapenhill, was told by Trent meadows they are not taking new patients, she's been there since it was built don't forget, you couldn't make it up !! If you buy a house from St Modwins in Branston do you get kicked out or not accepted as a new patient I wonder?
I'm saddened by the quantity of poor reviews for this practice. I feel terribly sorry for the receptionists who have to tell patients that there are no appointments day after day but bear in mind they can't invent slots. Nor can any other member of staff. I can see that their manner is repetitively reviewed poorly. There's a mix of an unwell and naturally less tolerant patient with a regularly abused member of staff which presents a somewhat difficult combination. The GP's have trained them to make an assessment on the phone and I'm sure it's in their job description which the Dr. partners of the practice have written. Their phones are ringing constantly and they answer as soon as they can. They are rushed and must feel stressed and frustrated that they cannot provide what the patient is requesting. On a personal level they have always been polite to me. Sometimes they are unable to provide a service that I have requested but blaming them is the wrong way to approach it. Ultimately its a lack of staff and a lack of funds to employ more staff that create these issues. It's not personal. Getting cross with them helps no-one nor will it change the situation. They're limited by the 'red tape' that surrounds all public services nowadays. The NHS isn't what we want it to be anymore but it's not their fault.
There is one particular member of staff there who works on reception named Vanessa, I have never known the most rude person ever ! Not friendly! Called a few times and spoke to her and I don’t know how she still has a job in customer service
Your Review: I could not have been more looked after with care and compassion than I have by The lady Dr Reza, she has even phoned me twice to personally ask how I feel and if I’m ok, she had done everything possible including sorting blood test and a hospital scan for me plus further appointments with her, she is a credit to Trent Medows and I’ve seen many negative reviews about Trent Meadows so just felt the need to put my positive review on here, thank you Dr Reza, I have never before received the first class treatment and care that I have received from you in this last week, you made me feel that I am in safe hands, I cannot thank you enough !
