Lovely receptionists, friendly nurses/doctors, easy to get an appointment use the NHS or airmid app, it’s super easy. Easy enough to get through to reception on the phone, pharmacy next door to pick up prescriptions with friendly pharmacists.

I don't know what has happened since late summer but this surgery has hit rock bottom. The automated appointment service is not fit for purpose,get offered an appointment press 0 to confirm oh sorry it's not available rince and repeat three or four times and then get offered one in seven days.Same thing with trying to get an appointment via the phone vitually impossible,if you do actually get an appointment the waitng room is empty or nearly empty. 1 hour on the phone trying to get an appointment! Finally got through, no face to face appointments! Why? We all now have access to visors, gloves and aprons to help keep everyone safe! The hospitals are managing to see people safely! Why is the surgery unable to do this too!nWas told I could have a phone call from a GP, I said I needed to go to the hospital and would be back at 11:30, so to ring after then. They rang me at 10:50! Then had to ring again at 2pm. Another 1 hr trying to get through!

After reading so many unpleasant reviews I decided to write my own fair and honest one. Yes, the wait on the phone and set times to call are frustrating at times, there is room for improvement here, but reception staff have always been professional and friendly to me when I’ve got through. I have had consultations with several GP’s at the practice and all have been very sympathetic to issues, called me back when they said they would and/or invited me into the surgery when needed. My most recent experience was initially negative as I was told that no appointment was available for a week. I explained the nature of my issue and the receptionist immediately arranged for an emergency consultation, which was, I thought, appropriate and fair. After speaking to Dr Tayyab my prescription and a fit note were arranged with minimal fuss. I did not feel the call was rushed at all and Dr Tayyab was warm and genuine. This surgery is the only one serving the community I live in and I imagine they are under huge pressure. The people who work here are human beings just like the patients they serve. Thank you.
