A few teething problems getting the right room but the staff were friendly and helpful and we got sorted in the end. Rooms were small but very clean. There was plenty of parking although long spiral ramp for access and no noise except a radiator at time, which we turned off and were not at all cold. Good location with plenty of takeaways nearby and bus stops right outside. Good access to the city via a bus and a short train ride.
Hotel was okay, the parking is up a circular ramp to the second floor, unfortunately our van was too big to go up it with a height restriction of 1.83m. There are a few spaces out the front of the hotel which we managed to get parked in. Staff at reception were very helpful as I'd managed to put my door card on my phone and stopped it working. Room was very clean and tidy. Lifts were a decent size. Went for evening meal in the cafe bar, wanted the £14 meal deal but talking to the server was hard as English isn't her first language. She also charged us for a 330ml can of diet pepsi, I actually got a 200ml glass bottle, when we mentioned it she threw 50p at us. A gentleman across from us wanted a packet of crisps, when he asked how much they were she said £2-50. He said not a chance was he paying that for a packet of crisps, so she then said £1-50? Not sure if she'd just making it up as she goes along. Also her and the chef guy stood watching us from the corner of the room was a bit disconcerting. The club sandwich was smothered in mayo and the chicken burger part was as dry as a week old burger, and rock hard, couldn't eat it. The same couple were there in the corner for breakfast the following day. Watching everyone.
The rooms are dirty, the hallway smells bad, the hotel staff does not speak several languages, the clothes irons are all broken I tried several, the hotel has a dark atmosphere, the garbage is not changed.nI do not recommend it if you want to do tourism in London, everything is very far away
It's ok. We got a rather clean room without any issues. Reasonable size, good bathroom, good water pressure.nWas surprised with free parking. It was a nice surprise.nCouple interactions with reception - no issues, friendly and helpful.nParking and stairs are quite dirty, but you can bypass this and use elevator.nMattress- again very soft. If you are used for hard mattresses then you will get back pain in the morning.nBreakfast for additional charge. Average quality English breakfast. Not a big choice of options.
Parking was easy. The staff at reception were helpful and knowledgeable.nWent to the bar area for a drink, the hot chocolate machine was not working at the time and the member of staff was very apologetic.nnThe only negative we have and it is not the Travelodge fault was the traffic. Being only on the second floor it was noisy even though we were at the back.
