Had the best night sleep, after a very busy weekend at Alton towers with my daughter. Annie was extremely helpful and even made an extra bed up, incase my daughter wanted her own bed. The room was spotless and really comfortable. All staff, Manager included were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Allowing us to check in at 11am after a hectic weekend and made sure I had plenty of tea and coffee. Would use again 100% ideal location and everything you need on your door step.
Lovely quiet room, fantastic reception staff. Nice to have a shop and pub grub on site. Room was the smallest I have come across in any travelodge, the lack of bedside cabinet is terrible with just a small pigeon hole in the headboard that isn't big enough for a mobile phone. Silly reading lights one of which didn't work are useless. The hanging unit is great for whacking your head on and the vacuum cleaner needs to be replaced with one that does edges.
Beds were so uncomfortable and hard being 8 months pregnant I couldn't get comfortable Rooms smelt like dogs after they had been hooverd For the price you would have thought they would have thrown in free WiFi especially with kids but no tha has to be paid for Vending machine was almost empty both days of us being there I wouldn't pick to stay at a travleodge again,! Only good point was the staff was polite and the stay was quiet at night untill the morning then cleaners were in and out of rooms letting the doors slam every few seconds
Pity our last night was disrupted at 12.45am due to a wedding party returning to the hotel, thinking we all wanted to Join in their full blown conversation at the top of their voices at that time in the morning. We had 2 children who were also woke up with the noice. Bonus not for us they were all on our floor too so your can imagine, they came to their rooms very quietly NOT! Have consideration people.... Full marks to the hotel who compensated us, but they shouldn't have to. I hope they charged the people involved
Good location for Alton Towers and nice pub next door. Also Aldi which was handy. Usual Travelodge standard basic and clean but bathroom light was more like strobe lighting and hate shower curtains which keep sticking to you! And why never a plug socket anywhere near the bed?
Excellent stay. Clean room, and near so many other shops. There's a restaurant next door, good car park and an Aldi opposite. Ashbourne is 15 min walk .staff were helpful and polite.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful place love the environment. Always kind very helpful very nice and warm place never cold a beautiful shot nearby across the road and a nice friendly pub best location for a nice chill out when you had a long day
Very handy for exploring the area. Aldi and a pub on the same site.
Good basic accommodation, not in the same league as Premier, but adequate.
Quiet friendly staff wonderful James was on reception and he went above and beyond to help my sister and myself . Nearby activities: Lovely clean friendly Walkability: 20 seconds Food & drinks: Good choice
