Was quiet and clean. Had to pay extra for bedding and there were no towels or toilet roll available. The bed was so uncomfortable, our backs are very sore after 3 nights. The pillows and duvet were lumpy and old and horrible to sleep under. The heater in the caravan also threw out the odd spark, so that wasn't great. The shower was very nice though, really hot and good water pressure. The food in the pub is nice too, and the caravan had all the kitchen stuff we'd need. It was a fine stay. Wouldn't recommend it, but also wouldn't tell someone to avoid it. Just book yourself into a chiropractor the day after you visit....
Great quiet friendly site. I felt happy letting my son go out and play with his friends. Not something he can do at home! The beach and town are a short walk away. The bar food was lovely when we ate there, as others have said drink prices are a little steep but it has recently been done out. Site is about a 30 min drive to Skegness. We enjoyed our holiday here so much I've booked again for next year!
Lovely, peaceful, site. 10 minute walk to beach and shops. Club house with great food and entertainment. Private and rental caravans. Fishing lake. Dog and wheelchair friendly
Well kept caravan park, with trees and grass, with onsite pub that does food, food was good and staff were friendly. Quiet in the sense that there's no entertainment in the pub no bingo etc, didn't see any the night we went in, not any noticeboard. Try the Remington club on the high Street number 50 if I remember correctly we played bingo there. B&H taxis took us there for £4 and same for return journey 3 other local taxi firms couldn't for various reasons. Lovely looking fishing lake on the site that seemed well liked. No swimming pool. Our caravan was near the bins, so unfortunately lots of banging and clattering as people opened and closed the lids, not good. Several caravans over someone had 3 or 4 dogs and it appears his hoby was listening to his dogs bark, not good. The caravan had hot air vents in both bedrooms and these could be manually switched on and off no central heating so cold in the morning in October. So given some of the snags noted, we did have a good holiday so this was ok, 3 stars.
We didn’t actually stay here, but went for a food a few times while visiting the area, food was great and huge portions, freshly made, drinks a good price. While we were there we sat outside, plenty of benches and lovely hearing the kids inside enjoying the kids club.
Lovely Caravan Park, nice Club House and great bar prices, the only problem with the Club was the Compare who did the Bingo came across as a bit rude in the way he did an announcement about the opening hours for the Queens Funeral. He was literally shouting down the microphone which was really loud and hurt your ears. The bingo announcement was very much in the same vain. Having said all that I would come on this site again.
Good site for peace and quiet excellent on site club, beer spot on food excellent staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to please, even if you are not a resident of the site it is worth a visit.
1st night was lovely and quiet but the 2 nights after were noisey, no security to be seen. We went to the tavern onsite pub about 7.30/8pm nowhere to sit and it felt very clicky in there, what we were charged for a round of drinks was a lot, we found a price list and it was my drink that cost over £10 and it didn't look or taste like a double but they said it was but I can't prove otherwise
