We love it here - it’s the fifth time we have been back in a year and definitely worth it. Dogs need to be on the lead in the site, but there is a walk down by the water round the back of the site where they can stretch their legs a bit more, plus the site is a 10 minute walk from the dog friendly section of the beach. The site is clean and tidy although bank holiday weekend wasn’t up to its normal standards. Do be aware that you don’t need £1 for the showers, they do take 20p coins so you can do a 40p 4 minute shower or 60p 6 minute shower…you get the point. There are washing up sections around the site for you to use. Every tap is also drinking water as well. They do recycle glass and have general waste bins around the site too. The clubhouse does a mean breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings which is fab - that’s also dog friendly. It’s easy and the staff are helpful. I would just take a toilet roll just in case as the toilet roll holders are pull out toilet paper but can get stuck, or some people don’t know how to use them so the paper then doesn’t come out. Also be prepared with soap as the brown cabin toilet block doesn’t always have soap in the dispensers and one is broken.
Lovely clean site. Nice little onsite pub/club. Very spacious pitches. We paid for a fully serviced pitch but it just had one water tap for 2 pitches. I mention it to reception who apologised, said they would provide a splitter. Would definitely return.Service: 5/5
The only place we go for a Sunday Carvery! Usually 3 choices of meat or a slice of pie, plenty of veg & THE best cauliflower cheese! They show sky sports, have a pool table, entertainment every Saturday night during season, bingo & auctions on a Thursday evening. Great weekend breakfast menu, and the main menu is fantastic value for money. Staff are friendly & welcoming to everyone that walks through the door.
We booked this venue for a birthday party and it didn't disappoint at all, plenty of room for for a band and around 100 people. The staff were all fantastic and went out of their way to help with everything. Now the buffet we booked beat all expectations, we were asked what budget we had, we explained how many people we expected and left it at that, the food that cam out was a hot and cold buffet with enough to feed everyone twice and more. This place is fantastic and they should be very proud of the place they have. Tha k you very much to you all and you know we will see you all again soon.
Just had an fantastic camping weekend stay here, all the facilities are kept spotlessly clean, the on site club has an excellent menu offering generous, delicious meals and all the members of staff are a pleasure to meet. Another review March 2024. We aim to visit Kirkstead at least 3 times a year for a long weekend to visit my inlaws in nearby Mablethorpe. We are always met with the warmest of welcomes and park our campervan on one of the level camping fields, the two toilet blocks are kept spotless and a shower is £1 for 10mins of water always been hot for me The on site clubhouse have popular drinks on tap or bottled in the fridges and the restaurant prepares fantastic pub food in generous portions of an evening, brilliant buffet style breakfast during the weekend mornings and on a Sunday lunch time offer a carvery that gets sold out so book when you arrive if you want one. All prices in the club are fair and I don't feel the sence they are over charging and with the option of a £20 loyalty card you are able to get better value for money we never cook in our camper and alway have a meal in the restaurant. Every member of staff are happy, friendly and will go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Food & drinks: Simply Excellent Playground: 2 play areas one next to club house and one un main camping field. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome within the club house
Very tasty Sunday lunch with lots of good quality veg. Very helpful staff who bent over backwards to accommodate our teenagers' fussy tastes. Dog friendly. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommend
Having been here a week I’m very impressed with Kirkstead. It is clean and well-kept throughout with substantial works done recently to improve infrastructure. The site offers placements for static caravans as well as tourers and camping. There are a lot of regular visitors and longer term residents which adds to a strong sense of community here. The clubhouse is large and well equipped - the food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Children are well provided for as there is a good play area and the beach is an easy walk from the campsite. Dogs are welcome. Overall this is a first class campsite and I’d be very happy to return.
First visit and our dogs were welcome. We had a delicious Sunday lunch, and the service was excellent. we will definitely be making a return visit. Well done! Kirkstead club house
Visited for the weekend with family who own there. It was a most joyable experience. A fabulous club house, serving lovely food and with great entertainment. I noticed areas set aside with play equipment for young children. Only 10 minutes from the beach at a slow pace, with the river to oneside and open greenery on the other with an abundance of bunny rabbits. I would highly recommend this site if you are looking for a relaxed holiday, which is totally child friendly. Also dogs are accepted without issue.
Attended the RNLI Christmas party. Food was very good and so much of it. Entertainment second to none. Staff friendly and accommodating. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
