I have wanted to try this place for nearly a year. I arrived early for a lunch meeting and was warmly welcomed by a member of staff. We were served by Klaudia who was very charming and had a beautiful smile. She even managed to encourage me to try out one of their scrumptious desserts, no regrets. It was an afternoon well spent with good friends and I look forward to returning very soon. Thank you to all the staff on duty for making my visit a memorable one
I stumbled upon this place by accident... And it was one of the biggest delights of my week here in London. The atmosphere is lively and fun. The food is really tasty ... The real reason for the 5-stars however, is the amazing staff! Each person I encountered i treated me and the other people I saw fine it drink here like I was a guest in their home. They work as a team...everyone pitches in and that includes making sure the guests are comfortable and well taken care of. Will ever put together this team to be good job! Now that I know about this place, there is no doubt I will be back and I will bring friends! As a sidenote, the two thing women who were hosting the Monopoly life-sized game counter at the entrance of the building were also quite delightful, even though I didn't play the game. If you are looking to feel a genuine welcome in London and have a good time with your friends - or as I did have a great time dining alone - I do have to give this my highest recommendation.... So much so in fact that I'm giving a very rare review at all. This is not something I often do but I really wanted to shout out this place, as well as share the good experience with other people.
Visited 21st October 2021 Easy to get to and find. Friendly welcoming staff at reception. Toilets were very clean through the evening. You can access them from the two ways, first walking anti-clockwise at the reception area. Second being at the back of the restaurant so no need to walk around the floor all the way round like I did. Waiter service wasn’t the quickest. The food was 8/10. Starters were nice. The triple cooked portion of chips were too crispy. The picture is of their miniature fish and chips. The second set of normal chips were much better. The beef was great and dessert was good. Portions are a little cute so expect to use four plates for a three course meal. It’s worth a visit and I would recommend.
Lovely place! The attention was the best, all the staff was so kind. This restaurant is in the same place of the Monopoly Lifesize, so convenient to go and play, then to take a dinner and drinks!
Popped in for lunch quite randomly really, as the place looked like fun from the outside, plus we are big Monopoly fans. TBH was not expecting too much from the food in a themed restaurant like this but we were pleasantly surprised. Our light lunch was very enjoyable and everything that was brought out was well cooked and tasty. Our waitress, Talia was lovely. Prices were average by London standards - not cheap but not too high either. Service of 12.5% was added to the bill which we didn't mind at all. The restaurant has been done out very well, quite plush with nice Monopoly themed touches. My eldest son described the vibe as "chill".
Great atmosphere here but the burgers were quite small and quite dry for £16. The monopoly themed cocktails were delicious and pricy - £13. Overall 4/5
We had a fun experience at the Top Hat Bar and Restaurant last night! Cool ambience, lovely and polite staff. We loved the drinks, I admit a bit pricy but AMAZING cocktails! Our starters, chicken wings and calamari were excellent. My Cash Cow burger was just how I like it, tasty and juicy and my partner loved his Water Works, even ate his mushy peas! Do not even get me started with the cheesecake and brownies!!! Will return!
Had a lovely meal to celebrate mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary. We were served by Talia and Annabelle and they were absolutely fabulous! Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend! We came on a busy Friday night and the service was still quick, with friendly faces and lovely food:
the service was the best part of the experience, i would give 5 stars but there was a bit of room for improvement food-wise. i ordered the wings which just needed a bit more salt+seasoning, my partner ordered the chicken burger which left a bit to be desired flavour wise. big shout out to Calvin and Gosia for making us feel welcome and special from when we entered. drinks were good/delicious and strong, thank you for everything!
I booked a table for after our game. The restaurant is decorated nicely and still in theme without being garish, looks lovely and management staff were very polite... that's where the good stuff ends! We waited far too long to be greeted and seated. drinks were ordered in good time but took a long time to arrive. The food was DREADFUL! The starter of cheese bites was only just warm and some of the bites were just hollow shells. The burgers were dry, overcooked and the burger bun was falling apart, again dry. Portions were really small and not at all befitting the price. There were no condiments on the table, not even salt / pepper. The worst though is that between courses we didn't get new cutlery?! The very moody waiter initially took our cutlery with our starter plates but then said 'oh you have a main coming' and plonked them back on the table to keep for our mains. Luckily we are all friends but we had no idea whose dirty fork was whose. Thankfully we had vouchers from winning our game next door because the price for the poor quality was absolutely not worth it. The service charge also made me squirm considering that we simply didn't get any service! You get 1000x better value and quality from Dishoom where we went the next day or a range of other restaurants at a similar price. Top Hat was a huge let down.
