A great theatre with plenty of space and no queues for the women's toilets! The very back row of the stalls we were in was hard to see as they were directly behind the people's heads in front but you can stand so not an issue! We saw MJ the Musical which was incredible.
Lovely venue, actually in the same cul de sac as the Savoy itself. The theatre building is quite beautiful inside and the staging was very clever - high definition screens formed the backdrop of the stage, and changed accordingly to the scene. It was supplemented by clever furniture coming in through doors or trap doors, often “ridden” by the cast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there are several bars and toilets across the levels.
We had a great time watching mean girls. We sat in one of the further back rows ons stalls and view was great. The show was great too.
This was my first time at the Savoy Theatre and first theatre experience, and it couldn't have been more magical! After a grueling 12-hour flight, I headed straight here to watch *Mean Girls*, and it was absolutely worth it. The performance was phenomenal, and the energy of the cast was infectious. The theater itself is stunning, with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Despite my exhaustion, I was completely captivated and fell in love with the entire experience. Highly recommend the Savoy Theatre to anyone looking for a memorable night out in London!
The Savoy Theatre is located on the Strand, London. It’s a short walk away from London Waterloo train station, touching distance to Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. The theatre is to the right of the entrance to the Savoy hotel. The theatre is has a few bars, toilets and merchandise stalls which are each available on every floor. The flow of people was well managed and there is the option to have drink and snacks deliverers to your seat. Near the stalls seats level is a large ‘Burn book” where you can pose for a free photo! The stage is quite high for the performance of Mean girls. I wouldn’t recommend sitting in rows A and B unless you want to have sore neck. I sat in row c of the stalls which was perfect and allowed me to see the stage comfortable. I thought the show was brilliant and it was a great show with a very talented cast, orchestra and stage direction and choreography.
I came here a year ago to watch pretty woman. I loved the theatre but I was disappointed in the audience's etiquette. On returning and pretty much the same seats I was happy to find the audiences etiquette much better. Lovely staff. Both times fantastic performances
Came here to see Mean Girls - not the best production, but I went in with low expectations. The theatre itself is pretty cosy and intimate, meaning that space comes at a premium. On the other hand, I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. Staff were friendly, so no complaints there. However, there was an awful persistent stench near where I was sitting. It was as if it was deeply embedded in the carpet, and the lingering smell of vomit was incredibly distracting and off-putting.
Really nice theatre. Pretty good view, even from the Grand Circle. Good toilet facilities for men, queue looked really long for the women though. The show Mean Girls was amazing!
Mean Girls!! Great show, a fantastic adaptation of the original film, keeping in all the best iconic bits and adding a bit of that musical flair. The show has been well casted and the actresses and actors are all fantastic in their roles! Shout out to ZOË RAINEY who does a phenomenal job playing Ms Norbury, Kady’s mum and Reginas’s mum. She does so seamless and you can not tell they’re the same person, she portrays each so distinctly! Also shout out to GRACE MOUAT who was the funniest Karen that could ever be! She stole the show with her delivery of Karen’s ‘stupid’ humour! Never have we ever wanted to be a Karen before! DAN BRAVO has also done an amazing job playing Aaron Samuels, his character restoring girls faith that there are good guys out there! If you’re in London I would highly recommend giving the show a visit! If you go on Wednesday don’t forget to wear pink, or they might not let you sit with them!
Went to see Mean Girls the Musical. Staff and venue were great, very nice building and easy to get around. View from our seats was great even though we were right at the back
