Had a late lunch on Sunday with family and it was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. We all went for the 21 day matured beef loin and it was cooked to perfection. The large selection of side vegetables was beautifully cooked. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.Service: 5/5
Cozy, comfortable, and close to Canterbury sites and the Canterbury West Station. Stayed here for a few nights while visiting Canterbury. Enjoyed eating in the pub and especially the breakfasts. These are older rooms freshly painted, as you’d expect, and the real gems are the wonderful and friendly staff. Will stay here again.
Had a really great experience, I came in after mothers day and had a lovely chat with the bartender possibly a manager? who was extremely kind and thoughtful, and served me an amazing IPA. I sat in the corner on perhaps the comfiest sofa. Great location, atmosphere and staff.
Great place to stay with comfortable rooms, great location, good value and quality food. Also the breakfast which is included is excellent. Super happy and would stay again if I visit Canterbury in the future. Walkability: Only a five minute walk to the centre of the city
Other way to the Marlow theater we stopped for a drink before the show. Only had a pint and g&t but understand its a good place to stay and people eating meals seemed happy.
Lovely pub. Good food. Portions just right. Excellent service. Friendly, chatty staff. Can't comment on the accommodation but wished we had stayed there. My kind of place.Service: 5/5

The staff was great, breakfast and lunch were good. The room was clean, warm BUT the showerhead in "The Friars" room has only a trickle of water for the morning shower.Rooms: 3/5
