Really nice Wetherspoons situated on the other side of the river opposite Westgate Tower. I like that it has a nice little area by the window to sit by, as well as lots of tables and booths. We ordered on the app and the drinks came out really quickly, and the food wasn’t far behind, which was bought out by two staff members. I tried the new chargrill half chicken they’ve recently added to the menu and it was really nice! It came with some chips and a little pot of gravy. It was all very flavoursome. I noticed while I was sat eating my dinner that they have a really useful touch screen display situated near the bar where you can pull up any allergy information for anything on the menu. I thought this was really useful for people who don’t want to queue up at the bar to ask if it’s busy. Overall very impressed with my visit here, the staff were really attentive and the food was lovely. Would definitely come back.
We orded steak, pasta and pizza. Ording food from the restaurant app is easy.honestly there’re not many drink on the kid’s menu. But I still recommend it.
Great deal on the Sirloin steaks at £5.99 Took a while to be brought to the table which would account for them being only just warm. Staff are friendly and helpful if a little inexperienced.
An abundance of attitude. We ordered via the app. Meals arrived but 2 were wrong. The waitress asked ti see my email receipt. I duly logged to my emails and presented to her. Off she to get the a copy of the order from the bar. Back she came we told her what was wrong but insisted it was correct. Next a really arrogant girl arrived, I can only think she must have been a team leader. She had the biggest attitude I’ve ever seen. Stroppy and snappy from the onset. We told her what was wrong and what was on my receipt but all she could say was well that’s not what we have. Off she went rolling her eyes to get things corrected. No apology at all The meals eventually were corrected. Next a fly in the wine.
Day out with the girls and a 13 years old totally blind dog. They don't let us sit with the dog even in that miserable little garden of theirs. So we had to leave, and return without the dog. The food was an average wheterspoon plate but first we had to ask that they clean the table as it was disguasting. We definitly wont return.
Typical 'Spoons pub. Decent enough breakfast before leaving to catch a train home to the East Midlands. A good, convenient place to eat and the refillable hot drinks are always a bonus. Don't expect the highest quality but then again the prices cannot be beaten. Always a reasonably good place for breakfast.
You can't really go wrong with Wetherspoons, but this in my opinion is the better of the two in Canterbury. There is always a good selection of beers, the food is good and the service is good. It does get very busy, but you can normally get a seat if you need one.
Tap water was great, lovely and cold. My friend says the lemonade was good, can't comment on it personally. Generally clean with a decent atmosphere, not quiet but not too loud that you can't have a conversation. Table was a bit sticky but that's typical wetherspoons
The staff on shift tonight were amazing and helped me out of an extremely uncomfortable situation with another customer. There names: Andre, Chris, Dan and especially loren. The food was great, especially thanks to the kitchen staff whose names I asked the bar staff for James Cane Jude CJ I am so thankful and had an amazing experience at this Wetherspoons.
Staff were friendly, half the food was cold and not a lot of it seen as we ordered the large breakfast, on the plus side, the coffee was good
