Sunday Roast Lovely and welcoming hosts, gorgeous food and cosy seats. We had an absolutely delicious Sunday Roast as we were visiting Bristol. Highly recommended and we will love to return as we hada great time
Amazing vegan roast and delicious sticky toffee pudding. Great service and atmosphere. Glad it’s my local!
Lovely friendly pub. Used to be my local but hadn't been in a few years, great to see it still has the same friendly, family atmosphere. Good range of well kept beers. Very interesting looking menu, but unfortunately I was only popping in while I wait for yet again delayed train so didn't try any food.
Sunday roast on 9/9. Needed a sharper knife for the beef. Plenty of variety on the veg but would have preferred more roasters. Gravy was very thin and almost tasteless. Nice range of beers although very expensive for bottles. Overall OK but not sure we would return.
Family friendly pub in Bedminster. A young mother was unselfconciously breast feeding in the bar when I was there - and I think that's a good thing. So expect relaxed and informal, with a good, if a little expensive, food menu. Lovely real fire in winter and a fair range of beers.
Only giving 3 stars for now as we went for Sunday Lunch at 2pm and it took an hour to get our food. Everything was luke warm and potatoes tasted like they were under a heat lamp for a while so were quite dry. It tasted lovely, so am willing to give it another go as the staff were really nice but seemed under pressure maybe under staffed hopefully can bump up the rating next time.
The food here is OK but has gone downhill - used to be excellent. Maybe it was just an off day but roast was dry, overdone or stingy. Good space for kids though with sofas and toy box in a separate part of the pub.
We love having the burgers here. Tried all but the vegan burger and the food is always delicious, prepared and served in time. Bar staff are friendly. I'd recommend!
Decent local, cosy interior and a small outdoor terrace that just about sneaks a view over central bristol - a bit of it anyway. Ok selection of beer but a distinct lack of classic bitters and familiar names Guiness, Sharps, Butcombe, etc. Despite this however it is still a place I have enjoyed occasionally visiting and it will be a shame to see it go as it seems the owners cannot find a new landlord for it.
Great Sunday lunch including good veggie options. Really good beer selection including craft beer, ale, keg and cask. Family area with toys. Nice atmosphere, cosy.
