A lovely historic building with a park next to it. There is a public car park located next to the building which has plenty of parking spaces, remember to pay and display the ticket for parking to avoid a fine, first 30 minute's are free. The building has a seated cafe area inside and there is a seating outside the building too. A lovely place to attend on a lovely sunny day. If you have not been to this location, I would highly recommend it.
Enjoyed a lovely day, run around with my mobility scooter. Never been before, parking £2 all day. Cafe was good enjoyed my food, coffee and cakes. Would visit again so relaxing.
Called for coffee n bacon cob both excellent.Staff very friendly and helpful, will definitely call again..
Been coming in here for a while as we love the park, the food is ok but a bit over priced. The location is gorgeous but honestly the rudest staff member on tills ever. He spoke to an elderly lady with a hearing aid like she was an inconvenience when really she just didn’t hear him. He doesn’t use basics like please or thank you when talking to you, if and when he talks to you. He was pretty rude to me but the way he spoke to the lady in front, I had to ask if she was ok and felt the need to apologise despite not working there. It’s not the first time so not a bad day either, I’ll not be going in at weekends again where staff are too engrossed in their own world to show basic courtesy to someone elderly or indeed other people. The other staff however are normal lovely people so I can’t understand how he’s ended up with this role!
Had 5 stars another cafe that has gone massively downhill highly disappointed
Great park, but no water in the big pond at the moment. Never seen it like that before. Cafe excellent as usual.
I live locally and have an annual car parking pass as we spend many happy hours on the park. Was there for opening time at the cafe today 16/06/2021, and had a cooked breakfast. The food was lovely - local butcher supplies the sausage and bacon. The staff are friendly and efficient. I don't find the food expensive. I've been for lunch before and their quiche is lovely too!
What a great find. My friends and I popped here on our way back from Matlock. We all wanted simple fare and we struck lucky as we were able to get fried egg sandwiches at 3.30pm. They offer a wide range of food to cater to all tastes including many delicious looking cakes. The two ladies who served us were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again if I am in the area. The only thing to be aware of is that you must register your car when you get inside the cafe or you'll get charged for parking. Just ask the staff and they'll show you what to do. Highly recommend a visit.
First time eating here and it was absolutely lovely, will definitely go back. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and polite. One staff member got my great neice some paper and crayons so she could draw.
Terrible the food was prepared awfully the mushrooms weren't cooked the black pudding was mushed on my plate the oat cake was soggy sausages were cold very disappointed, we come here quite regularly but won't be returning after today when I phoned up to complete I was told they'd tell the staff about it but got the feelong they didn't care I don't like leaving bad reviews but in I feel like they did nothing to resolve the situation and we left still hungry and annoyed having spent over 40 pound on 3 breakfasts and drinks and nothing to show for it
