Recommended by Kevin @ParkPlaza and so glad we walked over to enjoy this Pub. This experience will be the high bar. We had Black Pudding Pork Scottish Eggs w/sauce followed by Bangers & Mash for me and Chicken Pie for my DW who also tried a Camden Hells lager.
Had a roast dinner here and on the whole it was good. The chicken was a bit dry and needed much more gravy, Yorkshire was a bit too cooked for my liking too. Slightly small portion of cauliflower cheese for £7 but still nice - on the whole a solid roast but could be much better with some minor improvements.Food: 4/5
What a lovely pub! I'm visiting from Australia and a local friend brought me here. The food was excellent and I certainly can't fault the service as it was very friendly particularly the girl from Canada and the girl from Liverpool who both had great senses of humour and genuinely cared that we had a good experience. Will be back!Food: 5/5
Service is a bit slow from waiters taking orders to food being derved. However, the food was delicious, fresh, and worth the money. Sunday roast is definitely a win here!!Food: 5/5
Booked a table for 6 on Sunday for a birthday celebration. Away from the sports screen and madness. They let me bring in a cake and light the candle for no additional cost. Food was nice, above average. Scotch egg was a miss. Fish croquettes were The place wasn’t packed and they let us stay well over the original 2 hour window which was nice.
We came in for a late afternoon Sunday roast, and we were greeted warmly with kindness. The staff In particular one chap went out of their way to accommodate us for dinner and to make sure we were happy. The roast was pretty tasty, nice selection of meat and vegetables, with really yummy stuffing balls. The roast potatoes were a little dry and not as crispy as we'd like but really good portion and value for money. Will definitely come back again.
Popular spot with wide drink selection and plenty on tap, including satisfying London Pride. Superb seared seabream, butternut squash couscous salad, and roasted chicken. Swell kids menu. Nice service. Many tables reserved, booking ahead highly recommended during peak weekend times. High end and cozy. Dog friendly. Vegetarian options: Salads and apps and sides Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and baby at another table
This place truly stands out among other similar establishments you can stumble upon in London. It's clean and well-maintained, the food is exceptional, and the garden is a very pleasant place to sit in. Service is top-notch. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Booked a table for 12 upstairs on a Sunday. The place was busy so I would advise to book. Super quick service. Great food including Sunday roasts and fish and chips which was popular and recommended.Food: 5/5
Been several times and always a wonderful vibe. Outstanding staff and service. Choice of outdoor seating, pub seating, or restaurant seating. Several function rooms upstairs. Food is great, classic British fare done well. A solid selection of beers on tap including a couple of craft ones like Hepcat. Kid-friendliness: Several families with kids on each visit
