Decent food. Decent service but nothing special. A solid choice but wasn’t a wow sort of a place. Limited choice in the set menu which was more expensive than it deserved. Venison was very good but not quite warranting the price.

2nd visit...enjoyed very much. ..service very good. .food great. ..one little criticism. ..husband had cheese board nicely presented but only one little bit cheese. .last time got bit more cheese. .which was a good helping. .this time not so much. .

I ate dinner here last night and everything I had was outstanding! I came in without a reservation and was lucky to get a seat (I recommend making a reservation). I started with the mussels which were tender and had a delicious broth. My second course was the pork. Honestly it was the most tender and flavorful pork I've eaten. Third course was the pineapple tarte (I was cautioned it takes 15-20 minutes) it was well worth the wait. It had some toasted coconut ice cream which was great! While I was waiting for my dessert they served me a couple chocolates made in house which were also amazing! I highly recommend eating here. The servers were efficient and personable. Everything about my experience was 5 star!

Good was excellent, service very friendly and quick. Prices good. I will definitely be back.

One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh! Simple food but done right, i would suggest it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Edinburgh.
