Went to the wallace for food this evening and had a very pleasant experience. The food was good, arrived quickly and hot. The staff are amazing especially Carla who was serving us. She really does go above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy. Nothing is too much for her. Thank you!!
I stop her once a week for a quick drink with friends and the service is always incredible slow. There is a large bar with multiple tills but often one person serving and a large queue and then staff disappear in the back. Pub is fine, atmosphere good, seem to be a lot of people eating, I haven't. But don't expect to be served quickly
Typically we go there for breakfast and lunch. Always getting good service and food. Today, it was a total disaster. Our order took 45 min to make. Jacket potato, fish and chips and vegetables lasagne. No apologies or nothing for the food being late. Few customers cancelled their orders and left due to how long it was taking to make their food. The vegetables lasagne came with HAIR in it. No reaction or acknowledgement. Just asked if we wanted refund or new order. The deal was 2 meal for £10.50, but was only given £3.10 refund for the lasagne. What a shame, local pub turning into shambles. No customer service or care like before. PEOPLE BE AWARE OF THE FOOD. These 'accidents' are happening a lot these days.
I Visited with elderly parent's, one of which in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't do enough to help, they also made regular checks on us. The customers were equally friendly and helpful with door's. Lovely affordable food. A really good experience. I fully recommend. Wheelchair accessibility: A good ramp, double doors for wheelchair access which customers held open for us entering & leaving.

This really wasn't a great experience unfortunately. Food was so late to table yet barely warm when it made it. None of our party finished their meal as it just wasn't pleasant. Service was slow and staff seemed disinterested. We won't be returning. Considering same chain/menu, expected similar to the Nugget just down the road but the Wallace is far below their standard.
The Wallace was the pub I celebrated New Year's Eve with friends, It was a great night! Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and party vibes with the disco that was put on for the night. The pub had a good selection of beer, I recommend a pint of Brew there. The bar staff where amazing especially on busy night like New Year's Eve credit to them. During the day they played the football games which invites you to enjoy the great food there. Will surely go there again.
Had a lovely experience at the walace. Last minute booking online for my sons 12th birthday meal, with 14people. Food came out more of less straight away from each other. With only 1 kitchen staff. Food was beautiful will be visiting again soon. Thankyou for our amazing dinner.
Staff not helpful always on their phones I was at the bar and one staff member didn’t even realized I had been waiting after me trying to Get attention. Food wasn’t very good missed part of my partners order then waited over 20 minutes for them to sort it out. We tried to some order ice cream for desert but waited too long so had to get a refund. The place wasn’t overall busy at this point so don’t understand why they took so long. Tables unclean and sticky. Didn’t Have a pleasant experience at all. I feel like the customer service really need to improve as I did not feel welcome at all by any staff member as I have already mentioned they were more interested in their phones or talking to each rather than priding themselves on what should be great customer service. Also customers should be made to feel welcome and there wasn’t any focus on customer interaction, there was another couple I met in the pub who said they felt it was not appropriate so either. I used to go here quite a lot as it’s a local pub but due to this I feel I will avoid for awhile now, which is a real shame in my opinion as it is a lovely pub but the staff seem to be letting it down.
I took my family here on a Thursday night for a meal to end the holiday. We rang prior as my wife has dietary requirements and we wanted to know what choices she would have. The answer was that the chef there Josh would cook her food from scratch so we booked to ensure we could get a place. It was the start of service about 5 so not very busy. We were welcomed by Charlie and Victoria who did everything possible to ensure that we had all information. Also helped us to entertain our 5 and 3 year old whilst we decided. Sorted quickly and served very quickly considering the food for my wife being cooked from scratch so very impressed with that. The team did a terrific job. We were very happy and we cannot wait to come again. I used to go to the elms however this is a much better place we feel as you aren't filling yourself up on old wilting free salad. We came away satisfied. See you again soon guys. Well done!!
