We stayed overnight as we were attending a party. The experience was excellent from start to finish, lovely friendly check in, shown to our room. Lovely clean room, nice bathroom, nice view out over the front of the hotel. Slept very well, very quiet. Lovely lady in the breakfast cafe, couldn't have been more helpful. Another lovely lady on check out, even offered to carry out bag out to the car, although we declined. To be honest the staff could not have been nicer from the reception, bar and restaurant. We would love to come back.
Having used the coffee shop and bar on previous occasions my partner and I decided to book to stay after a friends party and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Georgie and her staff were both friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay and having attended many functions there I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them whether it’s for a wedding or simply a lovely night out.
Brilliant place with great views. The food was exceptional and good value for money! A Big Thank you to Sienna for her warm and welcoming smile - very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely going back for Afternoon Tea! Food & drinks: A great variety- everything freshly prepared and delicious!
I went to a diwali event here, absolutely brilliant night, great music, food was 10/10! such a luxurious hotel, very spacious rooms and very modern. Staff were exceptional, I have an egg allergy and they catered for me so well, I actually felt like I was a VIP rather than an inconvenience. Thank you Old Hall. Would highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
I stopped off for a coffee. Lovely place, great comfortable warm and welcoming. Very stylish and friendly staff. I'll be going back and tasting there menus very soon.
Im going to start this review with a HUGE Thank you. We Definitely recommend the Old Hall for santa wonderland and grotto experience you will NOT be disappointed. Its very christmassy and Santa was just brilliant. The room used is beautifully decorated and Santa's cabin is so cosy. The whole experience is perfect for the kids and adults too and extremely reasonably priced. I'm fussy and only do traditional Christmas things and I could not fault this place at all about anything. The grotto Staff are all dressed christmassy as elfs and very welcoming. All hotel staff are polite, helpful and welcoming on arrival. Our 1yr old little boy unfortunately took ill the day we were supposed to visit and ended up in Hospital. We phoned the old hall and explained we weren't able to attend and the reason why. They were very compassionate and saved all his crafts, gift from Santa etc for us to collect when we could. After 3 traumatic December's running where we've spent the last 3 December's in hopsital, the Old Hall treated us above and beyond like Family, they even gave us a courtesy call the following day to see how our little boy was, which was very touching and they offered us a home visit with Santa after knowing what we had been through the last 3 christmases running. This brought tears to our eyes we completely wasn't expecting it and thought we had missed every opportunity to see Santa with him for this year. We were so touched by the kindness of the Management team to not only call and ask how he was doing but to very kindly offer us a home visit. Our little 1 wasnt well at all and was asleep when Santa should of come to the house so we had to cancel this very kind offer, but the Manager very kindly said I could take him up a few days later to have his photo taken with Santa which we did, as a family we cannot thank the Manager and all the staff at the Old Hall enough. So so so welcoming and compassionate and very thoughtful towards us. This to us as a family on his first Christmas after the last 3 years has meant so much. We now have photos to treasure and look back on, We will definately return next year for definate. We aim to come and dine throughout the year aswell and recommend this place very highly to all. We recently held my son’s 2nd birthday here and had such an incredible time. Georgie and Taz were instrumental in the prep, going above and beyond with what we were looking for! Deepak was great with our guests ensuring they were well watered! The hotel is beautiful, the Christmas decorations were amazing and all of our guests including the adults! loved Santa’s grotto.
If only there was the option to go higher than 5 stars. We hosted our wedding at the hotel after having a bad experience elsewhere and it was the best decision we ever made and I wish we knew about the hotel from the start. From the very beginning staff could not have done enough for us. I have never felt so welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The wedding organiser taz took all the stress away from planning a wedding, she kept us up to date step by step, came up with brilliant ideas and took control of organising all other people involved in the wedding. As a bride I felt confident she would sort any problem or hiccup and for that the wedding went without any problems non that I knew of anyway The staff worked late into the hours to make our room spectacular and it really was. It wasn’t just another wedding to them they made it personal and so special. Our guests have commented ever since how amazing the food was, how friendly staff were and how beautiful the hotel was. It was the most relaxing experience and we will definitely be back we cannot recommend them enough for future parties and events . Roz and Adam
A little late writing this review but I had, because of the amazing support and work The Old Hall did for us! We decided to have our daughters 2nd birthday party at The Old Hall and did not regret it one bit!!!! We hired the marquee in January 2021 and had concerns of it being cold, however the staff reassured us that it would be warm as they had arranged large heaters in the marquee. In fact at one point we had to ask for the heating to be turned down. The lead up and organisation of the party was outstanding. I must give a special mention to Taz who was always available and on hand to support with anything and ran our party so smoothly that we didn't have to ask for anything. For once we could actually enjoy the day ourselves. I must say the food and service was OUTSTANDING!!!! We could not flaw it one bit. Our guests complimented the food also, so hats off to the chef and staff. Overall I would recommend The Old Hall. You will receive 5 star service and will NOT be disappointed. My partner and I had the loveliest of evenings at The Old Hall Hotel. Live music in luscious surroundings with staff who go above and beyond to make you feel truly welcome. It really is a gem of a place. Thank you to the team there for making it special.
