An absolutely excellent restaurant! With an amazing location right on the beach, offering panoramic views of the sea, this restaurant impressed even before we were seated. Combined with very attentive staff, great decor and excellent food, this is an unmissable eatery. Even more surprising were the very reasonable prices. My only regret is visiting on a cold and rainy March afternoon, which made the outdoor seating area impractical. I will definitely return during the summer, when the option to dine outdoors will add an extra dimension to an already fantastic experience.

We really enjoyed this place fantastic food in an Amazing setting. But even better was the warm generous friendly service. Thank you for putting yourselves out and finding a table for us at closing time it is very much appreciated.

The View is a coffee shop/restaurant in a prime location on Cullercoats/Tynemouth beach with fantastic views of the sea. I have visited this venue a number of times and service has increasingly improved since opening. Food is of a good quality, and take out options are available on the lower level. Staff and service is average. Ideal place to visit for a coffee on a beach walk, or to catch up with friends. Or for that bacon sandwich brunch during chilled weekends.

Good service with an interesting range of light bites and full meals on the menu. The portions are generous and the side salad was fresh and much more varied in content than many I have been served; ate the lot! Get a window table if you can and enjoy the view of the dogs on the beach and the ships out at sea.

Fantastic experience that you won't be disappointed. The surroundings are great, it's a great place to spend time. The table service was faultless. Good food and generous portions. Great location with good views over the sea. What more do you want from a seaside fish restaurant?
