We ordered Haddock with skin, comes with chips, and Small Cod with chips. Also ordered the curry sauce. The service was prompt. Our servers were helpful with our questions. Both fish were excellent. The food was hot and enjoyed. The curry sauce was peppery and tasty.
Amazing food, so tasty and big portions! A yummy addition was the batter scraps! Also one of us was gluten-free and the staff were great, makes such a difference when a food place caters for gluten free! They were knowledgeable and even provided gluten-free vinegar! Definitely recommend!! Dietary restrictions: Provides gluten-free batter and gluten-free vinegar too! Staff were great and were aware of the steps to be taken for allergies!
Visited here after recommendations and it was amazing! We ordered 2 portions of the cod bites and prawn mix. Got curry, gravy, mushy Peas, tartae sauce and fish sauce. Curry is soo good! Friendly staff. Very busy on Good Friday and its not hard to see why either. Worth the 45 minute wait and we'll defo be back next time we visit Tynemouth!
We had an amazing meal here last night. It truly was one of the best meals we have had. We had the mussels in curry sauce and squid to start, both were absolutely delicious, mussels so succulent and sauces just the tastiest you could ever wish for. We all had haddock and chips and they were truly the best, absolutely every part of them cooked beautifully. Mushy peas the best I have had. Absolutely outstanding.
The best place for fish and chips. I cannot recommend this place enough, the fish tastes absolutely fresh and crispy. They even offered to add on some batter crisps .We ordered a takeaway and enjoyed it by the beach. Beautiful view with amazing food.Recommended dishesFish N Chips, Cod Bites

The best Fish and Chips in Tynemouth. Staff are always so accommodating- somebody in our group has allergies to dairy and eggs and the staff were happy to help, providing an alternative batter which is also GF. Our society social didn’t go to plan so we went into here as a last resort and the staff were so friendly and catered for our large order. We will be forever grateful. Thank you so much again.
Got the cod and chips with curry sauce and pineapple fritter, possibly the best chippy I've been to in a long time.
Clean, tidy, eat-in at the back if you want to be posh. Renowned locally as the best place for Fish n Chips, probably justified. All of Front Street is exciting though. Go completely towards the sea, turn right at the main road bears left, down the winding lane, keeping the Priory on your left, park free for two hours and eat your fish n chips on the little sandy bay where the Sailing club is. Throw stones in the sea. Beach is Dog friendly all year. Simple times.
Great fish and chips even if you are gluten intolerant as they can oblige you! There are a few tables outside and these were very sort after especially as it was such a lovely day. Our friends are veggie and enjoyed their fried halloumi and curry sauce. Just wish they would use plates and cups instead of every thing cardboard
