Visited this pub 5 times, and each time I've had extremely polite and professional staff. They had an issue with a member of the public on one visit, and this was dealt with in a professional manner. I am the first to speak up if service or beer is bad. But simply because you think you know everything about beer doesn't mean you do. As I always say please make sure you make your own mind up rather than reading what others have allegedly experienced.
The food is amazing, portion sizes are larger than expected so great value for money. Had fish and chips, chips were chunky and well seasoned, fish was well battered and not greasy. Great warm atmosphere also. And friendly staff to top it off.
A very nice pub with lots of small rooms and a little yard with covered seating areas and heaters. Didn't have the food but menu looked good. Polite pleasant staff.
Drinks not an issue however the staff are a bit odd and rude. Went in at 10pm on a Friday night sat enjoying our drink then the bar manager decided to polish the brass on the bar. The bar stunk and even when sipping my pint I could taste it. So I asked would it be possible to do that when it's shut an not now, then the doorman decided to come over and tell us not to threaten her and he will kick us out. Laughable tbh but can see why the place is dead on a Friday night. Go elsewhere
Food was amazing, I had Lebanese salad with chicken shawarma and my husband has the lamb shawarma wrap and they were both absolutely delicious! Also had a garlic bread which was also fab! Will be coming here again and recommending to our friends!
Excellent roast dinner, there was 21 of us & between us we had everything on the menu, lamb chicken pork beef vegan nut roast & mushroom cranberry Brie pie, with all the trimmings … the delicious food all came at the same time, piping hot, brilliant service.. 10/10
Nice traditional pub with a good selection of local real ale. Food is also worth trying, I had a chicken burger which was very good. Add to this mix very helpful, friendly staff and you have a pub that I will return to.
The Victory & the staff always deliver, the food is always great and so plentiful. Roast meats are well cooked with less than boring vegetable acompliments. We have also been welcome when there have been a big group of us kids ranging from teenagers to pre schoolers. The friendliest and cosiest central spot, your team never fails to make us feel welcome..see you all again soon
The Victory Inn is a pleasant, traditional pub in the centre of Brighton, a short walk from the Palace Pier. The tiled front is something to behold, while the décor inside more resembles a neighbourhood boozer. There's a fair range of hand-pumped ales on offer there were 4 real ales when I visited, but two were off, and the barman was friendly. Limited outside seating on the street. Solid place for a quick pint.
Good for food and drink options that are available and a great lunch and early evening spot to sit and eat or drink. Right in the middle of the city centre, it is so easy to get to the bus stops and beach as well. Lots of menu choices and drinks to have in one sitting. Very nice place.
