We always us The Romans pub for our Wakes. The last one being November 2022 for our dear uncle.  The staff are very accommodating and the food is always very good and ample. They will change anything that you don't like too. Thank you  everyone at the Romans.

A friendly pub with good food and a perfect size function room for  birthdays/anniversaries/wakes etc.  Been here a few times and will definitely be back again x

Spotlessly clean and excellent service. Just a shame like most places in Brighton - toilets are on a different level. The food was hot and full over flavour

A local pub for local people. I liked it, friendly patrons and a manager who supports west ham. What's not to like??

Not great for allergy sufferers.  Slow sporadic service.we were not served together and no apology given.  Food when it came was ok but not excellent.

Last pub of our crawl of Portslade ,Hove and Southwick. Very good and a warm welcome..

Great pub friendly bar staff

The Perch has views overlooking Lancing Beach. Theirs meals are varied and delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You can eat in but probably need to book as it's very popular. They have a takeaway service which is very good. You can eat it outside on benches or sit on the beach. We'll worth a visit!

The Romans has never been quite my " cuppa " ,always preferred a more intimate pub but food is great there nice outside area as well,just the thing on a hot summer Sunday eating there superb Ploughmans Lunch. Highly recommended !!
