I have been going to this surgery since it opened and have to say that I found it difficult to believe some of the negative remarks. I have a ongoing medical condition which means i see the doctor at least once a month so my comments are based on very many visits. The receptionist and doctors alike provide a good service. There are times when things are really busy and getting an appointment when needed can be a challenge bit in my experience I have never had to wait more than a day to get to see a doctor or nurse and I have received the attention I required.

I've had brilliant service here, I think only once I had a doctor I wasn't keen on. The rest have done everything they could to help me and I've always managed to get an appt when needed.

90% of the time I have found the doctors very good and on the 10% when when the service was bad I understood the doctor was rushed off of their feet by the system in place. I spoke with a doctor there who said they do not make the rules but huddled in to rooms like mice in cages in this NHS building and they would prefer to operate a more personal service. What lets this place down is the system/challenge of getting an appointment. I work. I ring up and get told no appointments for 3 weeks but if it is an emergency to ring up on the day and they MAY have one available. I can't take a day off work for a pot luck appointment. The reception staff ask you if it is an emergency. Well no. If it was i would be in A & E. They then ask what is wrong. This is personal information and info that no receptionist should be asking. Urine infection for example. Not an emergency but can be if not seen in a day or two and treated. They appear to do this to filter your need to see a doctor. I am presuming they are not medically trained. The system they operate seems to presume a person does not work and just sits on their backside with nothing else to do all day. The staff at reception have been good and bad. I felt one in particular made me feel like it was my fault for being Ill. I fear this will discourage some from going who may have a serious illness developing. In the last year this surgery has gone down hill as far as getting an appointment goes. I understand they are over run. I understand they may have had changes forced on them. But if these changes are down to the practice manager only then that person needs to be replaced. If they are government imposed changes then i feel sorry for them and patients as there is nothing they can do. So my 2 star review is based on the system they operate. Not the service of the overworked doctors.

I've been a patient at this surgery for 6 months and every single repeat prescription I have tried to receive has been wrong in some capacity. Wrong dosage, medications not prescribed or my prescription hasn't gone through at all and they have done sod all to fix it. Accidentally prescribed 3 times my normal dosage of antidepressants which is just dangerous. Thankfully I'm not suicidal but if I was that could have been a fatal mistake on their part. When politely addressing the receptionists on the prescription mistakes (which I understand are not necessarily the receptionists fault) I've been met with snide remarks, eye rolling and shrugging. It's just unacceptable. Would love to comment on the capability of the doctors themselves but it's pretty much impossible to get an appointment.

Had the misfortune of a very rude ignorant and patronising excuse for a doctor. Couldn't be bothered to look at my notes and when I took my jacket of was asked why reply was it's too hot in here was told to sit like a naughty school boy was refused medication on the grounds of them being addictive was ushered out before I could say anything . What a rude and obnoxious excuse for a human being.
