We had a fantastic stay here after visiting Durham for the day. The location was ideal and set in beautiful countryside although within easy reach of Durham and A1.
Our room was lovely, clean and spacious with a very large en-suite shower room. There was plenty of tea/coffee and bottled water included which is a nice touch. Rooms were quiet and well insulated, beds very comfortable.
Both dinner and breakfast were superb and there's a large choice. Portions were large but beautifully cooked & presented and I think its easily one of the best "pub" meals I've ever had. My only criticism is that I think there should be table service in the restaurant as food and drink have to be ordered at the bar but its a minor point.
Staff at the pub and hotel were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to go back and stay here again and recommend the Three Horseshoes Inn wholeheartedly.

I stayed overnight at the venue and the room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable and the staff were great on arrival. I was checked in swiftly and with no problem. I had dinner in the restaurant and ordered the vegetarian burger which was delicious until I found a hair hanging from the burger. Needless to say I didn't eat anymore and the assistant manager was great about it. I was offered replacement and complimentary dishes, though I wasn't in the mood after finding that. The chef and management all apologised, though it happens at times, it's just unfortunate. Apart from this.. The stay was great and breakfast was delicious also. I'd definitely stay over again, though may double check food next time.

This restaurant was recently renovated and it's absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere and scenery is unbeatable. The menu is more expensive than before, but the food is still delicious and you can still find old favorites on the menu as well as a little more adventurous options. The drinks and dessert menus are extensive. Definitely make sure to stop by this place for a meal if you get a chance.

Highly recommended! Excellent Sunday dinner and regular menu items also look amazing! Good choice for kids too, all in a splendid setting! Depending on when you visit reservations may be a good idea, or call first to check how busy they are!

Fabulous lunchtime meal/snack. Amazing choice on the menu, all sounded great. We chose 5 meals and couldn't fault any of them. I had the tastiest ever chicken and mushroom soup. Puddings were great and a very generous portion sizes. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Staff were lovely too.!
