Quiet a nice place to eat , when we arrived the place was busy as we got there about 13.45. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered our drinks that were brought to us with in a couple of minutes. I ordered a steak medium to well done, stating I did not mind a little bit pink but definitely no blood. My wife ordered the salmon. When the steak arrived it looked lovely as did the salmon but after cutting into the steak it was red not pink . I ate around the edges and left the middle part. When the lady came to take away the plates she did not ask if we had enjoyed the meals . She only asked if we had finished and asked if we wanted any desserts . My wife really enjoyed her salmon and her dessert. We would go back again but I would get something else not the steak.

I'm giving 5 stars primarily based on the customer service I've received here the two times I've been in with my family. I have two young kids, 16 months old baby girl and nearly 4 years old boy and the staff here have been amazing with them both. The service here is fast and friendly with the food being really tasty on both occasions. I've been here for breakfast and dinner and couldn't fault either meal. The breakfast was an absolute bargain costing just £8.99 for an all you can eat cooked and continental breakfast with both kids eating free. The kids loved the choice of fresh fruit, pastries, blueberry muffins, juice, smoothie and cooked breakfast. You also get unlimited Costa coffee as part of this breakfast deal, perfect for charging your batteries ahead of a trip to the softplay round the corner if you've got kids. Highly recommended.

Cracking little place. Potato skins, garlic flat bread, rib eye, burger, lasagna and kids meals all good value with premier inn meal deal. Also breakfast was tasty too, not a buffet hot breakfast but you can still get as much as you want, cooked to order.

Service was slow waited over 45 minutes from order to food being served. I requested a well done egg with my meal, and a rather soft fried egg served. This had to be returned which the waiter did without hesitation. So had to wait a further 5 minutes for my food! Had they told me it would have taken this long I may have left and gone elsewhere

Came across this place by accident as it isn't in the centre of Durham. Of course most people go there by car, but I tried it by bus. It was simple - one option is to take the No. 20 from the city centre (every 10 minutes peak time) to Eden Terrace - the one that serves Durham Retail Park (9 minutes from bus station). Then it's a 10 minute walk around Meadowfield sports field. (If you know it, you can walk through it). Anyway, to the restaurant - a good experience was had - the welcome was warm and genuine, the restaurant is large, clean and airy, but some intimate tables are available. If you order before 6:30 PM, you can take advantage of their special menu which is something like £5 / £7 for 1 / 2 course(s). The food was good, tasty and very well presented.
