Tall sailing ship outside the Transports Museum, there is a small charge for entry, then you can walk around at your leisure, plenty to see, the vessel is pretty well maintained , but beware of trip hazards.nThe staff are really nice, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.nThere is a really nice cafe with very pleasant staff and there are clean and fresh toilets, there is disabled access below via a lift.nIf you are in the area it is a visit is a nice way to while away and hours or so.
A great place to visit for tourists and visitors of the city. Though with it being FREE to enter until recently the now cost of going on board is an unfortunate, disappointing change.nAlong with its limited opening times and last admission at 4:30pm.
I really loved this place! The ship itself was interesting but the best was the transport museum. A wonderful place to bring the kids. A few great seating places to relax. The staff were super helpful. The cute little restaurant on the first floor was pleasantly very good. Great homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes. The service was fabulous.nI really enjoyed this place and I would definitely recommend it. The place was free. But, a donation is appreciated. Which I had no problem giving.
Took the grandkids for a tour and they enjoyed every minute.nThe did the Find the 20 Rats competition.nIt was busy but manageable with all the different languages of the tourists.
We visited from South Africa with our children, 6 & 9. This was a fascinating experience. It was interesting to see the living space and the opulence of the captains quarters in comparison. We were surprised at the size of the hold. Well worth the visit. It is free but we definitely encourage you to give a donation at one of the available donation points.
