The Hunterian Museum at the University of Glasgow is a fascinating place to visit! It beautifully combines science, art, and history in one space. The exhibits are well-presented and tell amazing stories about medicine, nature, and archaeology. The building itself is stunning, and the atmosphere is calm and inspiring. Definitely worth a visit — and it’s free!
The Hunterian Museum, located within Glasgow University, may be challenging to find, but there are signs that guide you toward it. If the signs are unclear, don’t hesitate to ask the staff member for assistance; they’ll be happy to help. However, you’ll still need to take an elevator to reach the museum from the entrance point.nnThe museum is free to enter during this portion. It houses a fascinating collection of artifacts and provides valuable information about the exhibits. The knowledgeable and helpful staff members make the experience even more enjoyable. Despite its smaller size, the museum feels a bit cramped, but it’s definitely worth spending a few hours exploring the mesmerizing displays.nnIf you’re in the area, highly recommend adding the Hunterian Museum to your travel list. It’s definitely worth your time and effort.
Relatively small as museums go.nInteresting collection. The Roman section more to my taste than the rest even though the science part and the colonial ones were interesting as well.nFriendly staff too.nFree entry so good to visit if you're visiting the Hunterian Art gallery as well.
Magnificent! The museum is inside the impressive building of University of Glasgow, and it is a Science museum. I really recommend it! Like most museums in Scotland, it's free entrance.
Nice museum, also for kids. They can play with toy dinosaurs, Lego and knex for example.nDisplays of pieces of an old Roman wall, of fossils, gemstones and so much more.nnLovely high building on the inside and Harry Potter-like on the outside.
