We visited House for an Art Lover for brunch and had a lovely experience overall. The building itself is fantastic, with beautifully designed rooms inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and it's well worth a visit for the architecture alone. The surrounding gardens are also beautiful and make for a relaxing stroll.nnThe staff were attentive, friendly, and very helpful throughout our visit. Our table was a little uneven, which caused one of our drinks to spill, but the staff replaced it immediately without any fuss, which was much appreciated.nnThe coffee and hot chocolate were both excellent. However, the eggs with avocado on a muffin were a little disappointing. The dish was rather mediocre and lacked flavour. It would have benefited from an addition such as smoked salmon or something similar to give it more depth and interest.nnDespite that, the excellent service, stunning surroundings, and unique building made for an enjoyable visit.
After deliberating over several other venues, House for An Art Lover was undoubtedly the one for our special day. If you're a lover of Mackintosh, look no further for the perfect backdrop to your wedding. We held the ceremony in the bright Music Room followed by drinks reception on the balcony and dinner in the main hall. Kate was great throughout the planning and kept in touch. As was our Master of Ceremonies, Farooq and Amanda who were so accommodating on the day. In fact, all the staff were fantastic and the guests had nothing but great feedback on what was the best day for us!
We went here for an afternoon tea in their Music Room and it was a fabulous experience. A little pricey but the space is truly magnificent. The food was nice and plenty of it, all while enjoying live music - a lady playing the harp. A lovely afternoon especially as the sun was shining and coming through the big windows!
I booked The View for my daughter’s 21st birthday celebrations and everyone had a great time. I had a very good experience all round from booking team Kate and on the event with Maria and the waiting team. Highly recommend this venue.
My wife and I got married at House for an Art Lover at the end of May. From start to finish, the team were great and very organised, especially Kate Kaczor who was our main point of contact. Super helpful and friendly and we got everything arranged without any hassle. They even facilitated us providing additional external catering for a few guests, which a lot of venues would probably have refused. Amber was also very helpful on the day of the wedding itself, as were the rest of the staff. Definitely recommend this venue for Glasgow weddings. Quite a large venue with more interesting/unique interior decor and nice grounds outside also. Given the price of UK weddings these days, I'd also say the pricing is pretty competitive compared to other Glasgow venues, considering what is provided.
