Great place for brunch; they take reservations but not “on the day of.” So plan ahead if you’re in a rush. They have a wait time at almost any time of day or weekend but the good part is there’s also a few tables outside which are up for grabs if you don’t want to wait to be seated inside. I was impressed with the quick service even though all tables were booked and it was peak hours. The blueberry waffle is a delight/ must do, and so light, fluffy, crispy. We also had the English breakfast and coffees. And loved our waiter Ian’s sense of humor.

The food itself is lovely. It’s a great place to have brunch and meet with friends for food. The cafe has a lovely decor and ambience. The only disappointing thing, is the service. It’s hit and miss. Today, we were seated outside and forgotten about. I called the cafe to remind them we were sat outside and that we’d like to order. Another small issue, the tables didn’t have enough napkins/cutlery. I had to ask the server again for water. These are relatively minor issues. I would point out that the service charge of 12.5% is optional. Despite the minor negative issues, this is still one of the better places for brunch in the area.

This cafe USED to be good. Really tasty waffles but for some reason when we this Saturday, everything was quite "meh". It appears that they're now catering to a different crowd and they aren't as day-time friendly as before. Back to the waffles. When we first started going to The Table, they had some of the best waffles in the area. On Saturday, their waffles were FRIED. I've never ever had a waffle which was fried - it was quite a strange experience. The blood orange soda was also very bland. I tasted artificial sweeteners in what they claimed to be in-house made cordials. Probably won't visit this place again. We used to love it since it was a great spot for great food right behind the Tate, but sadly the quality of food has really gone downhill.

There's was a simple, but great selection of foods, and my brunch was thoroughly enjoyable (albeit I probably should have asked the eggs to be cooked through, they were not set on top at all, not even the whites, but that's largely a preference thing anyway) The subsequent pancakes (which I think I managed to order as a dessert despite not being on the menu, as a special order okayed by the head chef/owner, so props on being flexible and service minded) were tasty, brilliant crispy caramelized surface, with syrup, strawberries and a few spots of blueberry coulis(?) - or in short, the highlight of my day so far. Service was prompt, helpful, and welcoming - absolutely nothing bad to say there either. The place IS a little on the pricey end, but very much on par with the quality served. The wooden open light space with the open kitchen is very nice as well.
