Fullers' pubs and Inns are exceptional and The Swan is no exception to that. We stayed in Room3 which fronts onto the High Street. I walked into the room and it hugely exceeded my expectations: large and airy, robes, a chaise at the end of the bed. Everything so clean and fresh. Bathroom was a good size with walk-in shower. Nothing that didn't work as expected. We had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent. Great service! Breakfast was also very good. My only minor nit would be that the bathroom didn't have hooks for towels or robes. There was a towel rail but I would have ideally liked some hooks.
A lovely hotel, part of a nice pub in the heart of town. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast and roast dinner were great.nOur room and was very small on the 2nd floor with only a small window from which we could see the castle. But there was a fan. We were not disturbed by noise from the pub at all. We got 2 packets of biscuits and a thermos flask of fresh milk each day to make drinks.
We stayed at the Swan for a one-night stay during the bank holiday weekend. Had a lovely spacious room and decided to also have dinner at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Close to everything in the town, including the castle and lovely walks. Parking is also in very close proximity, around the corner. I would recommend this pub and rooms for anyone looking for comfortable and inviting accommodation in Arundel.
Just the best few days during Arundel arts festival. We stayed at the Swan Hotel on the high street - with its excellent hospitality and the best front of house team - really fun to talk to and so attentive. Never had so much fun and banter at breakfast chatting to staff members. Bedroom was really clean and comfy with good refreshments and amenities in the room we had room 4 - Ouse. Places like this are only as good as their staff and they excel. Would highly recommend for weekend breaks.
Booked a table for evening meal while away for the weekend, always good to find somewhere that does real ale, had the sharing skewers starter, not particularly big considering it was for sharing, steak and ale pie for main was very nice, strawberry cheesecake Eaton mess for desert, not quite sure what it was supposed to be, one strawberry cut in to 4 quarters on top of a creamy slop for £8.50.nStaff were very attentive and looked after us well.nWould give it another visit if in the area.
